I was mobile when I was reading it, so my apologies for being late to the party on the topic, but does anyone really think that FTers will get the (or any) opups on the LH flight? There's got to be people who paid higher fares, HONs, SENs, etc. I'm not saying that it's pointless to try, but I also can't imagine a promotional Z fare being at the top of the pile.

Well, it turns out CO648 (EWR-SFO at 7:05 tonight) has a mechanical problem and is being substituted with a ship that has a smaller F cabin. I got a call from Houston asking if I'd be willing to change to a flight tomorrow or the next day.
Since I have a meeting in San Fran tomorrow at 4:00, I opted for the 7:00 AM EWR-SFO (seatcounter showed one seat left in F) on a 752. CO made the change and confirmed me on that flight. They also gave me a $500 travel voucher for "my troubles" :-: Shocking story. ;) Good for IAH and good for you. ^ |
