ALCO, I read about the BMI program as being really good atlhough I keep reading LH will trash it. IIRC, the game with it is to find FC tickets anywhere as cheap as possible to get status, and then once you have status, earning and redeeming becomes pretty sweet provided you keep purchasing FC tickets? I am sure it is more complicated than that, and I can always look carefully, but do I have the gist?

Yep. I regularly earn BD miles at under 3cpm (usually around 2cpm) on transcon Q-UP fares. ^

Told to call back in an hour, as it will take them that long to sort out the taxes. Flights have been placed in my PNR for now. Oh, the agony and suspense...

At the middle sister's house; just me and the older sister's dog. Fiancee was supposed to come here to make baked ziti for Saturday. She forgot to bring the ziti.

FYI, LAX-NRT is on a 777 so it has the old UA seats in C and F.

Why not try for NH LAX-NRT?

[SIZE=1]This is a "good thing"(tm). We need a good 8ft of water in the tanks there east of AUS.

We selected this area over Sonoita, AZ because of groundwater right of capture, the level of rainfall, and the length of growing season. Then, after a normal '07, two years of withering drought. I was beginning to think that the conventional Montana/Wyoming thing was not so dumb after all. Now, in two weeks, one tank has gone from 18 inches to 6 feet (clay bottom) and another from dry to 4 feet (sand bottom).

So my opinion is restored that land with no water, or else 8 feet of winter snow, to say nothing of being 4 hours to the closest commercial feeder airport, is not the best place to be. Views of the Tetons notwithstanding.

I was mobile when I was reading it, so my apologies for being late to the party on the topic, but does anyone really think that FTers will get the (or any) opups on the LH flight? There's got to be people who paid higher fares, HONs, SENs, etc. I'm not saying that it's pointless to try, but I also can't imagine a promotional Z fare being at the top of the pile.

I think if LH was wise, they would be moving the HONs and SENs to another flight. :D

For any and all of you (present honored company included the ol' ^^), Y'all will have just a blast no doubt. Cannot wait to read the tales from the road on this one. As we used to like to say in college, "Go hard or go home!"

Since I have a meeting in San Fran tomorrow at 4:00, I opted for the 7:00 AM EWR-SFO (seatcounter showed one seat left in F) on a 752. CO made the change and confirmed me on that flight.

They also gave me a $500 travel voucher for "my troubles" :-:

Is there a full moon out? :D
Shocking story. ;)

Good for IAH and good for you. ^

You think I'd select UA over NH if NH were available? http://www.rolleye.com/southpark.gif
