There's all sorts of hidden gems in that program. That is one of the better ones, though.

I need to get :rolleyes:v to post the link to the Zone-Cheat table he linked to a while back. Sometimes, it costs the same amount of miles to redeem two separate one-ways between zones (Like U.S.-Europe, Europe-S. Africa), as it does to do the single zone-to-zone (U.S.-S. Africa). By booking it as two separate awards, you can essentially pack in extra stopovers and/or an open-jaw. :-:

ALCO, did you ever give us our PWP titles?

I am looking at booking four of the TamPON runs; One in December and three early next year to seal BD Gold for another year.

I'm at my ultra-religious client this week. Right now, while eating lunch, I'm hearing the two student workers in the HR office just outside my conference room's door discussing marriage and relationships and children. Apparently one believes that a couple that gets married and chooses not to have children is risking being condemned to Hell, and that they must pray for forgiveness for this choice. The other one sort of agrees, but not as strongly, but see's the first girl's point. And, on top of that, they've mentioned that couples that cannot have children because of biological and health issues should feel compelled to adopt needy children because that's what they're being called to do because of the health issues that prevent them from conceiving on their own. Even better, one of them says they should specifically adopt children born out of wedlock to rescue the baby from its sinful parents and help put it on a path of salvation. After all, it's not the baby's fault that his/her mother got pregnant without being married first. WTH???

Maybe. How do I actually book a BD reward? I've not yet had that pleasure.

I hate that Z3-Z5 is so expensive. Seriously, 200K miles r/t up front to Africa? CO will only charge 145K for the same thing, and that's before fees. Actually, CO's price is a great deal there. Of course, the Germany-CAI segments I've found are only in C (and I was thinking of going over in Y) so with BD it would price in Y and on CO it won't price at all.

Too many variables.

It was this number that I was looking for. They only publish the 0821 number, I think, which costs $$ to call.

Routed properly, four of them should keep you at Gold, and then some. With a routing of TPA-IAD-AUS-DEN-ONT and back, you should be able to get 22K each for the first two, then part of your third would be over 55K flown EQM (earning at 625%), with your fourth racking up about 45K RDM.

These types of people scare the crap out of me.

Boxers, would anyone like a 10% off promo code I just got from AA via e-mail from for travel to St. Kitts starting 11/5 and running till 1/31/10? Good for up to 6 folks.:-: I I am not likely to use it. First one to reply, I'll PM to.:) Hate to see a promo code go to waste, and I don't feel like putting out in CC for all the problems that can cause. I know this is CO World, but hey, still a good gig, and this is teh Box!

Aye. Some of their redemption values are lousy. However, they are great for Australia and Far East Asia (120K return in C), S. America (60K return in C, 100K in F), and the Extra Stopover en route to Europe/S. Africa is a neat trick, as well.

It's good you're not tied down to a specific locale, as that should help greatly in the search for a new job. Best of luck finding something bigger and better.

I'm sending the job fairy up to you and Olton Hall. For what it's worth, consider Austin. Austin is a big IT town, and there is a rather well known giant IT firm HQ just down the road in Round Rock, and I'm sure you could find something in the area. Moreover, there are still many teaching gigs open across the state for your wife. Just something to consider.

We may have a fit for you - PM me and we can chat more.

In the meantime, keep your head up. :)

Kudos for going on the 4 runs but 2 should get you more than enough points to requalify, IIRC.
