Thats why I moved here. So I dont have to rely on a car to get me everywhere. I now rely on trains and airplanes.:cool:

Fiancee is still sound asleep - she put a lot more effort into the party than I did.

We had to borrow tables out of her mother's basement for the party...during the day yesterday, the birthday Mom is cleaning the basement and notices them missing. She wants to call the cops, believing that the house has been robbed and ONLY the tables were taken. :eek: :D

Now off to my mother's house this afternoon since she is having people over and we get to do the same thing all over again without the birthday component.

If I reach 55k status miles, do I earn the 300% bonus for the rest of my current status year or for the next status year as well? I believe it is the current status year only, but I wanted to check.

Directions in Honolulu are based on local things: towards the water, towards the mountains and Diamond Head or Ewa Beach. No one understands North, South, East or West!

It looks like a bit of a walk away from the beach but I might give it a try this afternoon. I just need to see if the bus will get me from there to the airport correctly.
No vehicle required for me. I take the bus from the airport ($2.25) and it drops me literally on the front door of my hotel. I only paid $90/night for the hotel. Not as cheap as last time, but not terrible and way less than the name brands were asking. There is also a hostel around the corner from here but I don't know the pricing. I might find out in February.
