Where did you see that it had been approved?

I presume from the picture that either the main entrance for terminal A will move, or that there will be an additional set of entrances across from where the rental car facility is.

As sbm12 mention above they aern't going that way. Completely new terminal w/ new road system and major redo of the airtrain alignment to make it work. I think it will be turned about 90 degrees in relation to terminal B and will be Y shaped and backs up to the FedEx faciliity. I think the land side of the current building may be staying though for who knows what use.

Good morning from the Marriott Texas Medical Center. Upon check in the desk agent mentioned that we had been upgraded the Ambassador Suite, so I was happy about that. Got upstairs and found that it was just a regular King room on the concierge floor. Oh well, not the end of the world. At least I can get on the Methodist hospital free WiFi from up here and not have to pay $13 to get access from Marriott.

The  is strong out there this morning. Safe travels for those of you on your way to New York for the Do.

Morning, Box. Surprise party today. Thank God this will all be over today. My at-some-point-brother-in-law and I went on a pizza run last night and gossiped amongst ourselves about how awful it has been having the three sisters try to do an event together. When you put the three of them in a room together, it takes far too long to get anything done. I had never before witnessed the blind leading the blind until I watched parts of this party come together. She's out of the shower......can't talk about Teh Trainwreck anymore.

Things could change, though, such as my location in the near future. I think I've seen some U.S.-based FTers who rarely fly them but still use the program for whatever reason. I'm already in UA (though not elite, and I have just about exactly the number of UA miles needed for an Asian F redemption...meaning an empty account could be in my future), but I could change loyalties if need be.

The reason some of us bank with them is that it is insanely easy to rack up absolutely ridiculous amounts of miles in a short period on Q-UP fares. The $150 MSP-GEG F mistake fares that came out a few weeks ago earn either ~22,000 or ~44,000 miles per roundtrip, depending upon where you are in your program year. Considering that BD requires only 60K miles in C to S. America, 75K to Europe, and 120K to East Asia and Australasia, a very small number of flights can earn you some very desirable rewards (that aren't subject to StarNet Blocking). :-:

OSL, ARN, JFK, BKK - yeah, this is going to go well, especially with 307 Y seats on a 332.

Two A330's for sale in about six months from now.

The only thing they have going for them is a lack of competition in Scandinavia and some pretty high prices in the region. It looks like they are going to talk the Eurofly model of operations. I guess we will see, but given a lack of a launch date I am not too optimistic at this point.

I here ya, but it would be nice for one of these longhaul LCCs to do well. From this side of the pond I think they need to link up with one of the domestic LCCs a la the Southwest/Icelandair relationship of years past.
