I think I'm just going to ask the mods to close the thread.

Sadly CC became very much a marketplace with people camping out in there and playing arbitrage against uninformed or desperate FTers. It isn't pretty at all much of the time. I don't envy the job of those mods.

TheBus is packed this afternoon heading to the airport. I'm glad I got on at the beginning of the route to get space. It is SRO in here. I also took a gash out of my hand on a metal corner on the bus. Not good. Fortunately I had some athletic tape handy to cover it up and contain the blood.

I left a chunk of my scalp on the roof of a Caravan in BZE and the crew on my connecting CO flight were ^^ for assisting me with gauze and antiseptic. I did not want to mention anything at the airport as the thought of a hospital in BZE made me cringe.

Yeah. I think I have alcohol wipes in my dop kit but not a lot of space to open up my suitcase and root around in it here on TheBus. Worst case I'll ask at the RCC for their first aid kit.

My current FB status msg:

[HeathrowGuy] admits that with CO's SkyTeam participation having ended last night and Star Alliance participation not beginning until Tuesday, he feels provincial and even a tad naked to the world.

It is rather odd now isn't it?

C-Mike (or any other current or ex- military), do you remember anything from your survival training?

I had a nonflying billet, so I never went through a survival course to that extent. I've heard stories from SERE and I don't think I'd enjoy it very much.

Might want to show that to the folks in another airline's forum. Truthfully, the CHANGE that has come to Continental has gone rather easy for us, or so I've gathered.

Indeed.

Someone should take a screen capture of the "Airline Partners" portion of CO.com for posterity.

So it now appears that a diaper can in fact take down a 737! Mrs. MBM3's flight just went from a MX delay to aircraft swap!

They really should bill that parent for flushing the diaper!

The long wait in the CLT US Club begins.

Stale vanilla wafers anyone?

Had a similar case out of MIA to IAH, hit some glass on my way out of work in a rush to pack up and put a nice slash in my hand, I was within 35(made it to airport and gate with only 10 min to spare, but delayed 10 min thankfully.) minutes of the flight leaving, got onboard with elite line passing all the others and the FA helped me with a bandage and anti septic too ^

I know that wait well. I'll be doing it again this coming weekend.

After 2 nights of short sleep, it is brutal. Fortunately, the late arrival in to MSP won't be too bad as I'm working from the hotel tomorrow and not flying back home until tomorrow afternoon/evening. Last time, it was 3 nights of short sleep in a row and I was a zombie.

The major downside tonight is that I am going to miss the end of ALCS Game 6. :(

sdm1130 Oct 25, 2009 5:59 pm

While they aren't as bad as GS and 1K elites, Chairman's Preferred elites definitely like to make their presence known. US isn't quite as bad as it's reputation would indicate (don't get me wrong, they're not great), but if I willingly flew 100k+ miles on US each year, I definitely would not want other people to know.
