At least we now know the topic that could threaten to tear Teh Box asunder. It isn't politics, religion, or sex, but... Key Lime Pies. :-:

Down this neck of the woods, the favored pie is pecan I do believe!:D

Depending on the potential partner, I am inclined to agree. :-:

Texas doesn't necessarily fall under the umbrella of the traditional South, so we aren't necessarily beholden to the hegemony of Pecan Pie and Peach Cobbler. Both are fine, but I'll take my Key Lime Pie and Pumpkin Pie over either, any day. I've got a great recipe somewhere for Dewberry Cobbler. The brambles near my parents' place are usually full of them by late March.

Actually I was not only referring to the Key Lime Pie - but the Swingle, which is a chocolate covered Key Lime Pie.. on a stick. It is :-:Awesome:-:.

Local pie guy makes a pretty good pie. I've had is pecan, chocolate pecan, pumpkin, and today the sweet potato (first time I ever had sweet potato and wanted to see what the big deal is about). He has a Key Lime on his board, but I never had it because it's not available in the individual size. :( Every pie that I have gotten was in the individual size. Had the pumpkin yesterday and it was pretty good. :-:

When I went to Key West we were there for only one night. In that span my wife and I got 3 pies on a stick from here (warning, annoying sounds). Pretty good. ^

We just were guests at a dinner where the hostess brought out a dewberry sauce of some kind for desert, made from berries picked on their property in the spring, and frozen until now. Served over vanilla sherbet. Very, very good.
