The tracks that I own that I'm referencing are from Anthony of Opie & Anthony. His Russo impersonation is masterful. I've been known to do the occasional voice...Russo is a challenge that I would be up for learning.

Yep, although that partnership ended around 2002. We might see something with US this go around, but I think it's much more likely to happen with UA first and there's a good chance it won't happen with US at all.

I'd be surprised if anything happened with US -- they're not in the trans-Atlantic JV, for example -- but then I didn't expect them to have full lounge reciprocity, either.

Andres Escobar, right? I didn;t even look it up, so if I'm wrong, on me.

you are correct ^ no relation to Pablo Escobar

Killing Pablo, by Mark Bowden, he of Black Hawk Down fame. Awesome read.

Speaking of which, Penalty Box Book Club update: I am back in possession of Dirty Tricks by Martyn Gregory, the previously mentioned story of BA trying and failing to screw Richard Branson.

Where did you get them? Are you doing them, or did you collect them from here and there? Yeah, Mad Dog, Secretary of State, would be a hoot.

So I had a nice glass of wine earlier this evening. Was talking with one of the owners of the wine bar, her husband is the one that does the CC deals with airlines. Come to find out he is good friends with the US President of LH. This is just too funny to find someone so connected in the FF Miles world although they did live in DC before now.

That's an interesting comment, because one of the hypotheses about why TV ratings for the World Series, etc., are relatively poor is that baseball is a local sport and people only care about their own team (unlike the NFL and to a lesser extent the NBA).

I feel the same way about hockey; I've only seen one professional game, because there was an NHL franchise in my hometown for only three years, and I never learned to appreciate it. This may explain why I was delayed at immigration the last time I went to Canadia on business.

Ah, I misunderstood. Russo doing foreign policy would be pretty funny to hear, though he has always struck me as someone who could work up a veneer of expertise pretty quickly if he is interested in doing so.
