Morning Box..

I've not flown anywhere and I'm trapped indefinitely in the OC - but I missed you all.

Maybe for the Holidays i can criss-cross the nation and maybe get some of the DEQM. :(

Long time no see...remember DEQM ends Dec 15.

The only good thing about the OC is that i'm equidistant from a half dozen airports - one of which must have a cheap fare to HNL.

I actually only need to get to Florida, NYC (maybe Chicago?) or HNL one-way to clear Gold. I'm sitting patiently on the cusp of status :(

Is it possible to get seat assignments in advance on SQ for Biz? And what are the chances that they'll still be flying the 744 rather than the A380 on the JFK-FRA-SIN route in December?

On a C ticket you should be able to have CO request the seat, If you call SQ they will tell you they can't because someone else issued the ticket.

The second answer is:
close to 100% , that route would go to 77W if anything, but not the Tres Ocho Cinco.

The LAX-NRT-SIN route has been rumoured to go to 77W first before the JFK route, and that has been going on for months and it still shows 744.

I'm supposed to do EWR-SFO-IAH-LIM-EWR-SFO-EWR in Dec.

I have a feeling it may need to get rescheduled, again.

Good morning, box. Love the ash that the winds are blowing off the mountains into Glendale and Pasadena yesterday and today.

Good morning, Box.

Interesting out in the main forum about the debate as to whether CO folks will get reciprocal upgrades on UA and E+ access. Seems inevitable to me as (I think) most in teh Box believe. Be interesting to watch. I personally hope CO folks do!^

According to the UA forum, SQ has been downgrading people who have F awards and the flight changes to suites. Of course that is from the UA forum.

I'm so glad that thread got locked.

I'm offended by the stupidity in this forum. Can I demand compensation?

Just had it out with the fiancee over the principles and thinking behind mileage runs. Apparently she thought that because I showed an interest in running that I would all of a sudden become someone who is never home and eventually a father who would miss the growing of his children. Oh, and the best part? That I would book runs without consulting a schedule and without consulting the financial situation.

What. The. Hell.

Where did that come from you ask? Her own ASSumption. Then again, this is the daughter of the woman who heard that her granddaughter had a fever and immediately said "She must have the swine flu. That's how it starts." No, I'm not making any of this up.

You missed the good one at the time - CO filed a HSV-ANC H fare (think B nowadays) for $140ish+.

150% EQMs plus the fact they were flying 752 on the n/s between IAH and ANC with J seats made for a few very pleasant run to Plat. :)

I wish I had jumped on that one when I saw it...

Given the collective stupidity of the past few months, nothing less than Plat for Life would make me feel better.
