Question of the night:

I'm at a 4 Points which seems to have a rather advanced alarm clock. Do I attempt to reset the time for 1 hour behind or will the clock do it on its own?

Also, will my BB detect the time change automatically?

... yes. I have a very difficult life.

That's pretty impressive.

I'll put it on the list. I have about seven titles in the queue.

You can wait until it comes out in paperback. It's not that thrilling or exciting.

I think BB's do pick up on time change automatically.

Does the clock have a visible date function or seems to mirror NIST time? If the clock isn't aware of date or automatically setting itself ...

My ancient Blackberry (2005) doesn't update automatically. YMMV.

I doubt the hotel clock will set itself and your BB should change automatically. My cheap cell phone does.

Also call the front desk for a wake up call. Your luck isn't well documented. :D

1) Probably not.

2) I don't know, but every cell phone (not a "smart" phone) needed to be turned off/on for it to get the right time from the server. :-:

Not that I can see. But it has a time zone function (which is utterly confusing. I'm apparently in time zone 2) as well as a DST button, which is just taunting me. .

If your cheap cell phone is a Verizon, it will do it over the air. Those of us with SIM card phones have manual clocks.:mad:

By the way -- in case anyone missed the memo (I certainly did) I'm in the backwoods of Florida. Halfway between Ft. Myers and Sarasota. And I have no clue why on earth I'm here.

Dear Italy weather,

Please don't suck. ALCO isn't anywhere near there. :-:

Thanks,

sfogate discounted the fact I hate using hotel room phones. Almost as much as I hate using hotel TV remotes.

They. Are. Never. Cleaned.

Something is up at the cemetery up a ways (I am on a hill, a creek and some trees, then cemetery) I can see sheriff and police converged there then all but one spread rapidly. One city police car(not even really in city, but is city cemetery) is now sitting at the road to the cemetery spotlighting it regularly.

I suspect some kids up to some haloween 'tricks'

My iPhone updates automatically (DST and time zone changes) with AT&T.
