Good Afternoon/Evening/Day Box:
Hope everyone is enjoying/enjoyed Halloween. Kids are all at friends, Mrs. Gtitan is going out with her friends, so I am left to the silence of my home and the two pug dogs.:D |
Gators are looking awfully good right now. They haven't had a possession in the red zone yet, but they've put up some pretty impressive numbers and scores. Looking forward to more of the same in the second half!
If the rain holds off I think I'll head over to the parade. Looks like it should be a fun night. |

That raises a question: do you know, did Bing Crosby have any vocal range to speak of? Thinking back, he was the cream of the crooners, but I don't remember him ever doing anything challenging.
Honestly, though, if you have a solid octave and a half you can sing anything in the Great American Songbook...particularly if you have the luxury of having it in whatever key you would like. :) If you want phenomenal vocal range, look at Mariah Carey. Or Art Garfunkel. |

That would be an event where I wasn't an attendee ... And the reason I haven't sung in public in 21 years was having to do a recital the day after my grandmother passed away. I do small audiences (e.g. Steppenwolf, Snoop, Johnny Cash, and Natalie Merchant) but that's limited to a handful of people.

I have no idea why I quit singing. I apparently was good.
Off to bed for me.

Back from football.....We WON. It was a do or die game for both teams. My son made his debut as the PK and did quite well. All of his kick offs ended up at around the 5 yr line and he made 4 out of 5 point afters. The one he missed was kicked so high that it was above the end post and the referees ruled it no good although it sure did look good.
No pumpkins were thrown. Half Moon Bay is famous for their pumpkins and their teams are famous for being jerks. None of that happened tonight. I guess getting sued by another high school for attacks to the bus forced them to play nice. Good night Box. Happy Halloween. Don't forget to set your clocks back Saturday night/Sunday morning.

B6 will be accepting applications for FAs early next week. Details in that forum. I am probably going to apply though I doubt that I could afford to take the job.

Not hardly. I only really post in one thread.
IIRC, when I met Scott6067 in teh IAH E PC prior to DO IV (before he became very active in teh Box), he said something along the lines of "do you post in the CO Forum very often?" :D

Always interesting introducing yourself as Anglo Large Clawed Otter, especially with someone you haven't run across on FT before. :D

So far, I too have found the reports of nasty RCCs exaggerated. I've been in a few that weren't so great, but mostly they've been fine. I've also experienced nothing but niceness by the people working the front desk in those lounges.
UA requires either a government-issued photo ID or boarding pass with your membership card for entry. I've noticed that some agents at the front desk are just in the habit of asking for a boarding pass, because for UA members, it appears they can just scan the boarding pass (I witnessed this at DEN yesterday with three customers ahead of me in the entry line). But if you don't have a boarding pass, an ID should be sufficient. There are signs that I've seen at every RCC I've been in this month that indicate this.

I am surprised we don't hear many tales about the LGA Pclub here and its overall dank, dark, no view, nasty bathrooms on a regular basis. I know I've seen a thing or two about the bathrooms but the entire place is just....not up the the PClub line. It should be renamed the CO outhouse.

I would have booked the itinerary via SEA or SFO from the start had I known there would be a TED swap.

Looking at Hyatt options for tomorrow, there's only one hotel with an available "G" bonus. Being a Hyatt point accumulator, I have a tentative reservation for a hotel where I'll "pay" $10 more than another option for 1,065 points additional points.
The rate in question is cancellable until 4 p.m. tomorrow, in case distressed room rates come into the equation (like this morning's sudden $65 rate for today). |
