Grrrrrrr, United is pissing me off.
I *ALMOST* had EWR-ORD(UA)-NRT(NH)-BKK-SYD(TG)/PER-BKK(LAX(TG)-JFK(UA) booked, all of them had space. Then they said it was an illegal routing. Why? EWR-ORD-NRT-BKK was breaking the mileage allowed. She said they could book me on EWR-ORD-BKK. At which point I kindly pointed out that the ORD-BKK flight is actually ORD-NRT-BKK. She didn't have an explanation. |

Excellent. Looks like it will be you, me, Hartmann and sdm1130. I'm sure their wives will be pleased to know that adult supervision will be on hand. :D
Oh, and g'day, Box!:-: |

ALCO - The BD 55K plus rule how does it convert the excess mileage ?
I thought it takes the earning rate at 1:1 and thats where you get the 600% UA A fare at 3X + 3X 55K bonus plus the 25% ? Why would LH C only earn 225 % if is already earning at 2X without the 55K bonii ? |
fozz, couldn't you also just originate the award from ORD? I realize the entire itinerary isn't "free" that way, but aren't NYC-ORD flights fairly inexpensive?

As he would not have crossed the 55K threshold, he would only earn 200%, actually (as he wouldn't be a Gold to start with, so also wouldn't get teh Gold bonus). |

I would not be surprised if one of the RCC dragons somewhere would not accept a valid President's Club card since she has ignored every company directive issued about her job for the last thirty years. :D

After 55K Status Miles, Status Miles are converted into Destinations Miles, thus doubling your earnings on any given fare. The 25% is teh Gold Bonus on base-mileage.

So I should earn @ 425% if my flights credit properly. |

I got 9099 on the Hawaii run over the weekend and I'll get the 15K for the charter. That puts me at 43787 miles so far in my program year only 30 days in to it.

I'd rather Tweet a question than sit on hold with OPSC for 15 minutes.
