Yes. The 50% and 25% are based on the actual, not the 500 mile minimums. That changes at some point but I don't remember exactly when.

We have AT&T DSL at home on the fastest speed we can get, and it's fine, but nothing amazing.

Sadly I had completely unreliable AT&T DSL, which pushed me to another option.

The issue with those is that all the carriers have placed ridiculously low bandwidth caps on them. Until they go back to unlimited, they just aren't worth it.

mine is grandfathered, I use 15-20GB regular when in miami due to MSDN downloads when I am in the hotel in one place.

I assume we dont get free booze? also what are the snack items at the RCC (never been in one)?

Recent snacks I've seen in RCCs (ORD, DEN, IAD):
  • Veggies - celery, cherry tomatoes, baby carrots, with ranch dressing for dipping
  • Walker's chocolate chip Shortbread ^^
  • Kettle style potato chips
  • Knott's Berry Farm raspberry shortbread cookies
  • Quaker granola bars
  • Pepperidge Farm crackers (same as CO)
  • Cheese (similar to CO)
  • Apples, bananas, oranges in the morning ^^
  • Bagels (no toaster :td:) with cream cheese in the morning
  • Mini-muffins in the morning (similar to CO)
  • Yogurt in the morning ^^^

Overall the RCCs tend to have a larger variety of food than CO's PCs. There's also a larger number of healthier items if you want a snack without loading up on processed carbs.

Never post in the SkyTeam USA forum about anything.

I fixed it for you. The same rule should apply to flying that particular airline.

I found a significant stash of Pepperidge Farm cookies in SFO and a lesser stash in HNL last weekend. They are loose and near the crackers. I had many Milano cookies prior to the SFO-HNL flight. :D

And I am a big fan of the yogurt in the mornings. Much better than the "bagels" that any of the lounges have. When CO had the English Muffins I enjoyed those but they don't seem to show up any more.

No. What was the Sheraton is now a Hilton. I just stayed there last month.

I found a better run; gonna cancel the one with the CLE leg. The next day (12/8) lets me go thru IAH both ways still on a same-day turn...more miles, enough miles to ask OPSC for Gold ahead of time, and currently scheduled at 4x739. ^^^

About the RCC snacks, I find that I eat much healthier food when I'm not trying to consume items that will soak up some of the alcohol I'm mainlining. Maybe there is a link there.http://rolleye.com/nerd.gif

As spartan as the food choices are at the SkyClubs and PClubs I still value being able to get a quick snack so I don't have to spend $5 on $1 of snack at an airport vendor.

At a certain vendor in the UA concourse at MSY, that $5 would get you 10¢ of snack.

Thanks. Now the question is how much I will actually use it and if I can requalify.

I am actually booked out on those dates.

1/7 IAD-EWR 6:30 am
1/7 EWR-SFO 8:45 am
1/7 SFO-IAH 11:59 pm
1/8 IAH-IAD 7:25 am
1/8 IAD-EWR 1:35 pm
1/8 EWR-SFO 5:45 pm
1/8 SFO-IAH 11:59 pm
1/8 IAH-IAD 7:55 am

So I will overnight at IAD on Wednesday/Thursday. If you are going to do the same let me know and we can split rooms potentially. I still need to get positioning flight. That is tonight's challenge.

I am doing a double-open jaw that starts and ends in DCA and don't plan on overnighting in WAS.

However, I am on 5 out of the 8 flights:
1/7 SFO-IAH 11:59 pm
1/8 IAH-IAD 7:25 am
1/8 IAD-EWR 1:35 pm
1/8 EWR-SFO 5:45 pm
1/8 SFO-IAH 11:59 pm

I am positioning with WN through BWI.

Yeah...I feel your pain completely. I'm sitting here looking at all these sub-$100 DCA-DEN runs and the like for early 2010 and having no idea when and how I'm going to requalify. Those 1/1.5 day weekends really make things difficult. :(
