:-: Good point.
IIRC, reports on that Westin are not too good though. For one night, it may have to do. |

We do not watch much TV, and we are not thinking about getting cable. So what should we do for internet? Comcast? AT&T? Any other options I should consider? Any experiences or recommendations will be welcome. |

Some here swear by the EVDO cards. I have one (Sprint) and use it away from home, and am quite satisfied. That of course is a big advantage: take it along (if no one else is home who relies on it, of course.) Disadvantage: pricey.

The issue with those is that all the carriers have placed ridiculously low bandwidth caps on them. Until they go back to unlimited, they just aren't worth it.

So I tought I would check in the MR thread about connecting flights to IAD-SFO runs. Saw the DEN-IAD runs and picked up one at around 4 cents a mile, not the best but good. UGH. This stuff is addictive!!

Congrats! I got it for that very flight (but NOT the return) last weekend. The snow should have stopped falling just in time for you.

The Sheraton at the airport is a better option and you can often find it for $89/night.

I want to come back to the box! But I need a bit of help...
We have recently moved to a slightly bigger place (due to the upcoming arrival of Ms. Enmascarado Jr.), but finally out of campus. When living on campus, we had blazing fast internet access for free, but now it is time to grow up, and get my own home internet access. And there is where I would like your help... We do not watch much TV, and we are not thinking about getting cable. So what should we do for internet? Comcast? AT&T? Any other options I should consider? Any experiences or recommendations will be welcome. I need to get internet access at home soon, to play in the box more often! I miss you guys! We have AT&T DSL at home on the fastest speed we can get, and it's fine, but nothing amazing. I've found it to be super reliable, but not nearly as fast as what Comcast theoretically offers via cable. The problem is that while I'd love more speed, I don't have the patience for a fast connection that requires a service call once a month. I'd jump all over Fios or U-Verse if either was available in our neighborhood, but unfortunately neither is. |

Greetings from the Alaska Boardroom at PDX. :D
Very glad to be here, instead of where I was earlier. You see, I had chest pains this morning and ended up going to get checked out at the hospital. |
