Apparently UA retired its last 737 today, and it is the 40th birthday of the Internet.

I really like the song, "Empire State of Mind New York" by Jay Z and Alicia Keys. I love her singing the best.

Wow. I just flew a UA 737 DFW-DEN two weeks ago. Didn't realize they would all be gone this quickly.

I better go read the news. I have no idea what happened today in the Senate.

I doubt you'll find it in non-engineering/construction news. California won't be effected as Caltrans has a very strong union.

The pilot who flew the last UA 737 flight had stated that if UA ever got rid of the 737, he was retiring at the same time - there was an article about his retirement flight.

Agreed; the infrastructure in this country is in bad shape and it is boneheaded of congress in general to have neglected it for so long.

I've been seeing the BoA offer for 12-months free McAfee Internet Security each time I log in. As my Norton was expiring at the beginning of December, I just switched back.

Numbers finished for the year: 51,877 EQM, 54,200 RDM, first ever status-qualified year (will hit 50K on Dec. 21st) for an out-of-pocket spend of under ~$700. Free is good (Do IV), and other people paying (AMS, Mega Do) is better. I only paid for US in December ($251), the PHX run ($130+) and when we jumped on the BWI-SEA WN match.

Thanks. Now the question is how much I will actually use it and if I can requalify.

Ya just never know. Probably your travel plans for this fall are a bit different than you would have predicted them to be in August. When something we feel is worth doing, and it's right there, 24 miserable hours and a few hundred bucks in front of us, we gotta go. Who knows what the 'morrow will bring.

Check with Comcast, they've had a $19.99/month for a year promo going on for a while. You don't need to have cable or phone service. As much as I despise cable companies, I set that up for my parents... the cheap ....... in me couldn't argue with the price.

At least you have that option... in Alaska... its like airfare, but worse

I'm paying 35 or so a month for 256Kbs DSL 10 gig cap :(

If I want unlimited its north of 100/month for 10mbs or so...
