The challenge will be to keep WN out.

WN never ceases to impress me with their operations and a solid focus city in the south would do very well for them.

If by 2pm on Tuesday I don't know what I'm doing, i'll just call our esteemed moderators cell phone. :D

I figure a brown man showing up to the gate at Hangar 54 wouldn't go over too well. I wonder if 120 will be there for us.

Information will be emailed soon. That is all.

Copa, instead of turning on Twitter phone notifications, which are SMS, install Ubertwitter on your BB.

They do not offer an OS 4.2.2 version.

Good point.

8830 supported?

I thought IAH and EWR were as close to fortress as CO could come right now given their lack of metal to start the routes that EK and QR did.

I have booked the Hilton Diagonal Mar in BCN but am not sure what I should do in London and Paris. By that time I will drop to HH-Gold but will still have SPG-Plat and plenty of points in each to burn (but would prefer to use as little as possible). Where would you stay in CDG (2 nights) and LHR (1 night)?

Is that the only Hilton in Barzelona ?

IAH more than EWR. Last number I remember was that CO had less than 50% of the traffic at EWR while they had something close to 90% if not higher in IAH.

And I was just pointing out that CLT would work for that very same reason. Heavy O&D market and a fortress.

Complete speculation on my part that the event may be held at the hangar and the randomness of someone just approaching the fence in an attempt to walk in. OH, and the 120 reference was to the 757 that was unveiled yesterday. Am I being too cryptic? :)

Your other SPG options in Paris are the Le Meridiens -- I tend to stay at them just for the points but they are nothing to write home about.

Another option for an early flight out of LHR is to stay at the Hilton Paddington, which is attached to Paddington Station and thus the Heathrow Express (15-20 mins to LHR). Given the need for buses it may be worth the extra money, and you'll be staying in London proper. If you take this option and are going before the end of December PM me as Heathrow Express sent me a 2-for-1 offer which I won't use.

We land at LHR on a Thursday morning and are taking a Friday night flight to Paris. I would be using points for all the stays. Thanks for the offer for the Heathrow Express but we arnt going until July.

Totally agree. It's too bad that the move to Star basically took AS out of play. I stand by my idea that CO+AS would have RULED.

AS compatible as their cultures are...

I still :shudder: at the thought

Who initiated the trade of LGA and DCA slots? DL or US?

Then again, less of a need know that we have codeshares to accomplish the same goal.

Blame WN.

The west coast is too competitive. AS does well as it's some where between a legacy and a low-fare carrier. Throw a legacy into the mix and the costs go up.

The only legacy with a sizeable western presence is UA and a lot of that is due to all the connections they handle out of SFO.

Well with a billion or so cash on hand... And a decent stock price... :p

I'd love for them to expand out a bit... Possibly from HNL :D

Anglo Large Clawed Otter Oct 28, 2009 1:45 pm

HNL-IAH is 85mi. longer than NRT-HNL. UA has F on NRT-HNL. :-:

CO has less than 50% at EWR? All the domestic flying doesn't offset the one-off widebodies that come in I guess. BA, VS, TP, LO, SQ, AI, SK, LH, the list goes on.

All that stuff went right over my head, anyway. I do know now that it's decoded that #120 is on its way back from LHR.
