I've been on both the Star Clipper and the Star Flyer (their first two ships) when they first came out about 15 years ago. They serve a very interesting niche and are completely different than a standard cruise.

I tremendously enjoyed my EasyCruise in Greece a couple summers ago. It was clean and moderately comfortable and it allowed us to see a lot of Greece at a far lower cost than bummning around on ferries. In a location like Greece, it just made a lot of sense. It certainly isn't for everyone though.

Yep and I am not in the normal cruise niche, I care ZERO about a casino, I care ZERO about a huge shopping mall onboard. When I decide I am ready for a cruise it is going to be for a sailing experience, not for a Las Vegas on the sea :D

I had the oddest craving today, an ole fashioned mom style 'dump cake' since I am here at their house, and I never have cake mixes, I brought up a can of cherries and crushed pineapples. I Figured she'd have a cake mix here as she uses them for really quick things to give away on short notice when she gets some request(death in family, hospital etc)...well she did not have yellow cake mix, but had a devils food cake. So I put down the cherries, and the pineapple, but on the chocolate devil's food cake mix, put some walnuts on top of that and then some butter. It came out tops! not what I expected to make for a dump cake, but tasty.

hahaha, my devil's food cake made one could be confused with a cow pie with bloody stool...... the cherry is creeping through in liquid form.

Or maybe I should just say, someone shot the devil with buck shot and he's bleeding!
