That was the one announced back in January: http://www.wanderingaramean.com/2009...-atlantic.html

We were talking about it after that. Guess I missed the first announcement. :o

I haven't flown WN, so I can't really make a fair comparison.

I fly them a few times a year - probably just enough to earn a Rapid Rewards ticket in two years thanks to the new credit expiration rules. Sometimes, my schedule really means I have to take a non-stop such as trips to WAS. UA to IAD on a toaster, AA to DCA on a toaster, or WN to BWI. And I'm flying WN to the Hockey Do.

I just noticed this. Has everyone been typing it this way? Does BMI really need protection from the spam bots that would yank their email address? :-:

Though, on my old Blackberry Curve 8320 it is dog slow. Nice and zippy on the 8900 though.

I switched from TwitteryBerry to Übertwitter and haven't looked back

Who initiated the trade of LGA and DCA slots? DL or US?

I'm guessing DL.. I can't imagine US being that smart. Not to mention, somehow, US is getting the short end of the stick.

Uh oh.... i've been wanting that NRT-HNL line for quite some time....

I would recommend either A) doing a stopover in HNL or doing it westbound. I was supposed to do it last year but the thought of NRT-HNL-SFO was rough with how the times lined up.

N556AS (which I have been on several times ) just pulled up to C1 in ANC...

I am currently chillin' in the AS BR in ANC, and enjoying French Onion Soup with a plate of veggies and ranch dipping sauce... and a glass of Alaska White :D

Anyone else think US giving up on LAS will embolden WN to go after CLT?

I doubt it. I think WN Is quite busy with DEN, LGA and BOS at the moment.

I looked up PClub access to the PDX BR and thought it was open to PClub members, but not on the CO site....do you know?

I called it: UA starts service to MAD.

That's the Aer Lingus deal that was announced a few months back.

Allegedly, one can use UA SWUs on it.

That was my assumption as well. It's kind of interesting considering DL made the move after WN announced that they were starting service out of LGA. DL probably assumed that US would either go under or sell off their LGA slots to raise some cash. Either move would have probably let WN expand some more in the NYC market.

Bottom line: DL seems to be really scared of their current (CO) and any future NYC competition!

DL is too arrogant to be scared of anyone.
