Amazing on how loud a 732 is on takeoff ... quite noticeable, even compared to a 744!

For some reason I am back in the ANC AS BR ... guess I want to get the most out of my 3 year membership from AS  I picked up this month... [Really would like a lifetime... but oh well]

And they don't serve real beverages until 10 AM...

Well, gotta hitch up the mule and put on my best clean dirty shirt for a shuttle service run to AUS. Later.

Just received the "United + Continental = more cities in more countries" E-mail from UA; re-affirms US' place in *.

Excellent. Looks like it will be you, me, Hartmann and sdm1130. I'm sure their wives will be pleased to know that adult supervision will be on hand. :D

I don't think I will aim for trying out AA F until they update the product

After seeing pictures of the accident scene, they must have been flying down Allen Parkway.

Indeed. Just saw those on the Chronicle website. I've seen a couple of bad accidents along that stretch of Allen Parkway before. With all of the curves, no center barrier, no shoulders, narrow medians, and lack of traffic lights, and people speeding like it's a freeway, stuff like this happens every once in a while.

I heard the report about the accident on a traffic report on a Houston FM station while driving to work this morning in Huntsville.

Just think. They used to be louder. They have hush kits now.

It's the winds that worry me. Hopefully they change direction as predicted, otherwise, people are going to be in for some nasty crosswind landings tomorrow.

I think I've had better catering on DL flying domestic F.

I've done AA F once — MIA-JFK on the A300 last year. Aircraft was ghetto as could be, but honestly, the lunch on that flight looks more substantial than what was served in international F on that trip report.
