AVG scan so far is saying that everything is cool, but the laptop is talking to me again. Today it was an ad for the BK Double Cheeseburger. Little audio clips that are never complete come out of nowhere. If there were a piece of adware or malware that played ads via a computer's speakers, you would think that the whole ad would play itself out.

In other news, BD's ICC managed to ticket my PER-HKT-BKK-LAX in 24 hours, without any prodding from me. I should buy a lottery ticket today. :-: |

I'm still slightly aggravated by the fact that I didn't manage to squeeze in Air Europa before the SkyTeam exit. It's the only SkyTeam carrier that I've not flown.

I have had nothing but problems with the BD ICC. I've tried nearly a dozen agents to ticket my desired routings and was unable to get anything creative. I would see plenty of availability on LH and LX and they would claim that it was unavailable, wouldn't let me fly DCA-ORD-FRA because it was allegedly backtracking despite that there was no availability on IAD-FRA, and were generally rude and unintelligible. I'm burning the rest of my miles and not bothering with it again next year unless there are some ridiculous mistake Qup's out there.
My experiences have left me with a spidey-sense for the truly incompetent/lazy ICC agents (of which there are many). There are some that will tell you "is not possible," or "our systems are currently down" because they simply don't like booking reward tickets at all, and simply refuse to do so on those made-up grounds. It's well documented in the ICC Shenanigans Thread. I just end those calls quickly and call back, because there are some truly good agents there. I always budget at least 45 minutes to book a reward ticket. It pays off when you are able to do: LAX-NRT UA F NRT-AKL NZ C AKL-PER NZ C for 60,000 miles. :-: |

I've said too much; the first rule of Box 2.0 is that you must never talk about Box 2.0. I'll PM you.

Please, no flames. I too am a Christian, (albeit under somewhat more liberal definitions than might persist, in, say, Alabama) I just prefer not to advertise it, especially where it can tarnish the chrome. LOL! Love it! Plus1 to second paragraph! Have to go to the school now. Kids are getting the H1N1 vaccine and parents have to be in attendance  See ya later! |
Also, it helps whenever you get an "is not possible" to calmly and politely state: "it's quite possible. I've booked many of these itineraries over the years for myself and others. I can hold whilst you contact a supervisor." As I'm not entirely certain that there are truly any rules for BD redemptions, and as usually either: (a) they don't want to bring in a supervisor, or (b) the supervisor who has override authority is equally clueless, it often works.
An "is not possible" from a BD ICC agent may actually turn into a possible, whereas an "is not possible" from a KL or LH agent means you are sunk. :-: |
