Not really looking for a reply. Just wanted to put US irr.ops. into perspective for the few fan boys they have left.

I just finished booking US to LGA in the E175 over the CO Q to EWR when I read your post. Figured I'd give US another try since I'm tired of getting bounced around on the prop plane for the princely sum of $900. Now I'm not so sure.

Scott
SW just made your gate call here in SEA.

Flight xxx for LAS with continuing service to OKC

He's probably closer to TUS than OKC. ;)

I will say this about my experience on US.

They did get me to/from DC within a few hours of my originally ticketed itinerary. I had to fight tooth and nail to get on all the flights I did, but I -- like you -- know how the system works and that helped me a ton.

On final into LGA last night as the airbus was getting tossed around in high wind gusts (we did the crazy Queens approach over Citi field) I thought to myself "thank goodness I'm on a big jet and not a Q (CO) or an RJ (DL)." There is a value in that.

The final straw for me on the Q was a few weeks ago on a bumpy windy day where we circled for a while at low altitude, and then did the wingtip dragger approach to 29. My wife now refuses to let me book anything connecting in EWR for pleasure travel, and for trips to the city, now that US is generous enough to give you water or soda agan for free -- I think between Republic and CoCo, Republic is the better overall ride. If CO irrops we more along the lines of UA, they might have something there, but they aren't and now that I can credit to CO I can't find a compelling reason to fly the Q except for maybe the EWR PC.

Absolutely.

POOOOOOOOOP. I thought the SPG double stay promo was valid through the end of the year. I'm going to miss Plat by 1 or 2. ARGH. Another year of mediocrity.

Don't think 1B appreciated my "nice line-cut" comment. 5-6 of us were cued up on the blue carpet for 10 minutes or so and he strolls up and try to slide to position 3. Kinda ruffled his sport coat. Good I'm in 1F

Prices have crept up a little for the PRG DO
