Wow! for "security" reasons UA has shut off the overhead panels (lights, FA call buttons, etc) on their Trans Pac. 747's.

Do me a favor and ask the significant :rolleyes:v this question (since she's the NY Times guru).
Can they "refuse" a vacation hold? I submitted one for when I was up in Globe + territory and they emailed me back a few days later saying they couldn't accommodate my request. Sure enough, I had a pile of papers in front of my house when I got home. I didn't realize that, that was an option. What the  is up with that? |

I feel that way about Cablevision. :-:
They sent someone out there and wired the house and connected it to the pole. I then canceled the service before it started. :-: That was a fun disconnect conversation. :D I don't mind paying more for FioS. At all. |

If the TV that I am intending to wire up the Wii to is mounted on top of a fireplace, can the sensor bar be that high, or does it have to live at floor level below the TV?

Im sending it over to her.
I've done dozens of vacation holds without a problem and then this one gets kicked back for some reason. I did it 3 days in advance too. Their rule is 24 hours. |

I see the  is messing up domestic travel for CO. The EWR-Florida routes that the 752's go on after a TATL appear to have delays because of late arriving aircraft to EWR.

I kicked them to the curb when I moved, but not before I got an ounce of revenge back. Since my house is new construction it wasn't pre-wired for cable. I called up Cablevision and told them I wanted to start service at the new address.

I signed up for they auto pay two months ago, but it never went though and I didnt know it. I never received any email or postal mail that my bills was past due. Well they cut me right off with out any notice. It was my fault to not notice the bill went unpaid for two months, but they could have sent a late notice or an email or somthing. I can't wait to get rid of them, but FIOS is not available in lovely Paterson yet  |

I've had them require 2 days notice for a hold and push very hard for me to donate the missed issues for educational use (i.e., donation at schools) instead of extending the subscription -- which I sometimes do but don't like a pushy sell to do.
