Driving through the desert from Hurghada to Luxor. Very interesting landscapes. So very, very desolate, broken up by the high voltage power lines and I'm guessing the occasional cell tower as I still have EDGE service.

Look forward to seeing the pictures!

And it is almost certain they will extend it but I'd love to have a chance of using the IFE on my TK F seat.

Reports this morning are that the directives have been revised and IFE is back on, at least on some flights. This morning's New York Times quotes officials from Cathay Pacific stating they've been told they can turn the IFE, including the moving map, back on, but that the restrictions on movement in the cabin during the descent into the US remain.

Good one, guys. So what do they expect will happen come June when their exclusive contract for that device is up, Apple starts offering it on other carriers (you know it's going to happen), and the remaining original iPhone users who bought in 2007 start seeing their 2 year contracts expire, and they become eligible to get a full upgrade discount on a new device?

Looks like OKC will experience another wave of snow this week. I will again hopefully be lucky and make it out of OKC to ORD fine! Will need to keep an eye on the forcast!!

We are sharing the same forecast it seems, I have snow on the ground (surprised me as it got into 50's yesterday), but now more is supposed to start today and tomorrow.

One of the cats has decided to prevent me from getting anything done today by making my lap his bed. I can barely type right now, and moving him just resulted in all sorts of growls.
