I expected a lot of strong comments about the event, but that one was beyond  - I almost asked if the OP wore a tinfoil hat.

goodie. Details?

Something more modern, starting with a 738 or an EJet. I might also make it a little more competitive by asking folks not to use one of the fortress hubs.

If this doesn't sound like the perfect venture for PBC, LLC, I don't know if we'll ever find one.

If I could get into Club 33, I'd charter it for Teh Box. :-:

My mother once went to the members' dinner at the Magic Castle, many years ago. That's someplace else I'd like to see.

Speaking of rollercoasters, that is a great reason to visit the hublette in the fall. Cedar Point is open on weekends and the lines for the top coasters in the world are minimal.

Get well soon.

I was going to add a real post to the closed thread that airline stocks are down across the board while stock in airport security equipment companies are up acroos the board at the current time.

Big E-Jet, hopefully.

What is your definition of fortress hub domestically? ATL, LAX, SFO, DFW, CLT, JFK almost surely.

I extended an olive branch to the new OnePassers...

Interesting you mention this -- we are considering Disneyland for New Years Day.

Disneyland has 850,000 annual passholders, a good number of which are blocked out between now and the end of the holiday season. Crowds are lightish, but should pick up for NYE itself, the day after is usually not too bad.

Walt Disney World on the other hand has similar numbers of AP's but far less local passholders, and far fewer tiers with blackout days. It will be a mad house between now and New Year's Day, with NYE being the peak - Magic Kingdom usually reaches capacity during midday and Epcot by mid-afternoon or early evening.

One of my favorite things to do was to hang out around Epcot's entrance plaza as it reached capacity - you can tell because the first thing that happens is the monorail between Magic Kingdom and Epcot stops running, or rather, they wont let people on it unless they parked their car at the other park. After that, as the parking lot is full, people stop arriving on the trams.

Then the front gate people essentially just sit there, bored, and you're all alone in the middle of the day at the entrance of the park - as the people all moved inward toward Spaceship Earth and the rest of the park beyond. It's a bit surreal. It's one of the few areas that once all 80k+ people are in the park, no one is "there" specifically.

I know someone had posted things to do in MAD a few months ago but of course I didnt write them down. We are going this weekend and will be there Friday-Sunday. Any recommendations on things to do on a budget?
