It wasn't on where xyzzy, the fabulous Mrs. xyzzy, Scott6067, and my friend were last night. We still did get to see the ball drop in New York though.

good luck, it never works out for me, sometimes great deals on there that I cannot replicate on co.com orbitz, expedia, or any booking engine

You have to pay very close attention to the fare rules to get them to work. It's extremely time consuming.

You're telling me - I spent an hour putting together one BNA-IAH itinerary.

Ditto. Quite sad.

MBM3 - so sorry to hear about your friend. :(

I am reminded again that I love Spain and their cheap wines and excellent selection of tapas. ^

EDIT: Nevermind on the good PRG fare. Stupid taxes...

Please be seated.....

I warned you for what I am about to say.

I just got off of US Airways from EWR-CLT and have to say but for the short wait to check in at EWR I had a great experience with them today. I am currently in CLT enjoying one of the two lounges they have here. I will be heading out soon though. I did like the fact that they have the coffee machine similiar to wait the PCs were looking to put in but didn't. Perhaps this tie up with US will help that to come back. Either way I better head out. Onto IAH and the possibility of picking up menus I left in Germany!! (long story)

Oh and my friend that I helped to get her to Silver with CO just got upgraded on EWR-IAH today. SHe is sounding like she is spoiled to a degree, although I am having to direct her to have some FREE drinks in First. She ask "are the drinks free?" Baby steps... baby steps... :)

I am very impressed with UA’s US Int’l reservation agents* (North American based). For the five or six times that I have needed to call them I have had a fairly competent agent about 80% of the time which is more than I can say for the elite line at CO. There was another undesirable schedule change for my HNL trip and it just took one quick call to resolve and they don’t seem to care how much of a schedule change there is. To them it seems a schedule change is a “free pass” to make any changed, and that’s exactly what I did. :)

*It seems that you can avoid the International call center (India) by just saying “agent” and when the system asks, if you are traveling domestically within in the United States say “NO”. That has seemed to get me a fairly competent North American based agent every time. I am however 0 for 8 in attempts to secure E+ :-:
