The only day that I'm working for sure next week is Tuesday, for right now 3-11pm - off until then. Thought is much appreciated and I will follow up once I have a better idea of my schedule. :-:

We unfortunately paid US $25 for an extra bag. How do I get my $25 back? Since we never flew on US, they cxl'd the flight.

Sorry about your cat. :(

You should be able to call US Reservations and have them credit your CC since they canceled their flight.

FYI: If that had happened on CO, the ticket counter agent can refund/void your bag fee within 24 hours and after that only Reservations can do it.

With IDB's you are entitled to the cash value of the ticket.

There is a formula to figure out what you will get paid, in cash for a IDB. It has to do with the price of your ticket, what time you will now be arriving at your destination.

Unfortunately, I paid cash at the counter for the extra baggage fee. :( Poor decision on my part. I saved the receipt.

Yeah, the cat is a tough one for my wife. We took the body to a pet crematorium today. It was a very tough day for her. She can't sleep. :(

I hope you've had a good start to 2010!!

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. What a strange end to 2009. The job fairy has left me without a job. Hopefully that will change soon. I was in BOS for a week visiting my in-laws. Had one hell of a travel day yesterday. Walked in the house to a dead cat. He was 16 and in failing health, so it wasn't unexpected.

Best of luck on the job search and sorry about the cat.

And often can be less (sometimes well less) than a standard VDB voucher.

Had very good company of FTers during my DC-area Hyatt run this evening. There's a reason I love this community.

Happy new year from the HR Orange County. We got up early this morning, left Irvine Hyatt parked here and went to Disneyland. Got to Disney shortly after opening and got through 3 of the tougher rides in first hour. ^ Disneyland doesn't have a front of  pass, but they do have a "Fast Pass" program which allows you to get a window during which you can jump the line. We used that to our advantage.

At 6, we left the park to go to Downtown Disney for cocktails and dinner. We got up from dinner, saw 2 crying children and decided to run back to hotel. Hotel gave us a newly remodeled 1 br suite. They also offered 4 pm checkout, so we don't need to rush back to Irvine. ^

I had a sandwich from Quick Chek that did not agree with me. I have been feeling  all night at work since I ate it. I would normally go home sick, but then I lose out on my holiday overtime for the first, so I am going to stick it out until 8am now :-:

They have cleared customs and have been back in the states for weeks, just havent had a chance to meet up with the person who brought them back. Will be picking them up in the next two weeks while in Houston!!

By the way, the new video w/ Jeff Swisek is on CO vision. He's in front of some graphics to thank us for flying on CO. No more Kellner. The new CO magazine is puny in size.

The video and magazine were as you discribed. I noticed that the inside3r column is gone and that they updated the entertainment listing. I didnt notice if the part about bags and all is still in there. Jeff did seem to thank more people in the video but his letter at the begining seemed shorter and less about previewing the magazine and the spanish version was on the same page.

Magazine being so small, means one thing. Advertising contracts that were in place in 2009, were not renewed for 2010, and downsized the content as well since less income from ads.
