Today involved a shopping trip with xyzzy and the fabulous Mrs. xyzzy. After Costco, we visited DSW and found a ridiculous display offering us a savings of five cents off MSRP. We then headed to World Market, where xyzzy found two clocks - he seemed enamored of one but I believe both would have been vetoed before reaching the cash register.

Where are you? DC?

Because I do not pay attention to hotel rewards programmes, I just realized I missed out on qualifying for Marriott Gold by 5 nights. If I had registered for the promotion they had that ended on Dec 31, I would have only needed to add 5 nights to get Gold for next year and I could easily have done that in December.

Now I need 17 nights :( so it ain't happenin'. I'll be dropping to lowly silver.

They have a nice wine selection, but I can get some nice spices there as well, at good prices too.

That post was more than 10 months ago (before I succeeded in getting myself demoted). I was looking to get into a specific aspect of consulting for higher education at the time.

I can say this with New Years and such - I've been back since the 30th and never recalled traffic being so easy, even around the holidays. And I'll always manage to be a Redskins fan no matter what. I can see some of my friends completely disowning the team soon (much like the Orioles under Angelos' "leadership").
