Thanks Steve Gadfly and Xyzzy and the Fabolous XYZZY and additional company for making my NYE in NYC so great. It was also great to see FT Lurker, Olten Hall, and Mr & Mrs Brituchenite!! ^ Sweet or salty cornbread?

Somewhat sweet, but with just a hint of a bite (some green chiles included). When I was back in CLE, I made it a little 'warmer' (added some freshly chopped jalapenos) for Browns' tailgating purposes. It goes nicely with the white chicken chili I make too ^

I have always wanted to visit IST, I guess for the history and culture. It seems like an interesting city. The food Im not sure about, I guess I will find out. Alco was just here and he suggested a restaurant he found.

In IST enjoyed sitting on a restaurant on the river munching away looking across the coast, driving from Asia to Europe and back every day, and the conglomeration of cultures -- old and new, conglomeration of regions, etc.

Have fun rol:rolleyes:v!

Mexican cornbread recipe complete. Baking has commenced. No "mad scientist" explosions in the kitchen have occurred. At least not yet ;)

When it comes to cooking, I can't remember the last time I used a recipe, I make everything up as I go :D

oh actually I can remember, it was early Dec when I was showing a friend hot to make a molten chocolate fudge cake....when showing someone else always best to go by the book :D

Whether it be by recipe, or by "on the fly", there is something about making a dish by hand and having it turn out good, as opposed to pulling out a box... there are some things I can make w/o a recipe, with an admitted lack of focus (I'd try and figure out why, but I can't focus on the problem  ) I did bring out the cornbread recipe.

First meal of 2010 = WIN! :D OK, that's just IMHO... first time making hoppin' john brings good flavor, a little too much liquid. Cornbread is ^. Fine way to start the decade.

Is a 35 minute Schengen to non-Schenge connection in FRA possible? I'm trying to fix my BCN-BRU-LHR routing that includes 5 hours in BRU. I can see inventory for BCN-FRA-LHR but only 35 minutes in FRA. Bad idea, right?

that is exactly why you have cornbread, it will do a nice job soaking up that remaining liquid in the bowl after you are done, and meshes together so well!

quick question for the BD oracles in teh Box:

I will be doing my MSP-GEG MR next weekend. I'm looking at my itinerary and see several flights are operated by US Airways, but have a United flight number.

Will these flights be eligible for crediting the miles to BMI diamond club?

I set up a United Mileage Plus account and then added my diamond club membership number to the reservation. That should work, right?

US and UA are both *A carriers. You can certainly credit them to BD.
