In icurhere2 dinner news. Had to stop at Kroger to get potatoes for Pot roast / work. As I then had too many potatoes, I had to buy some steaks for the next few days ...

I'm watching Rachael Ray and she made a platter of t-bones, boy does that look yummy.

How did she manage to destroy perfectly fine meat in that show? Salt pepper, and MAYBE a little lea and perrins is all it needs, ALL.

WWTBD??

So what would Teh Box do??

Have to work in Venice, FL on Friday this week. Would you:

Fly CO EWR-RSW on Thursday afternoon (most likely upgraded to F), stay near SRQ (closest Marriott property), and take either the late flight back to EWR on Friday or the early flight on Saturday

OR (for around the same price)

Fly US EWR-CLT-SRQ on Thursday afternoon (first segment in Y, second one on an RJ), stay near SRQ and take either the same routing back on Friday or the early Saturday one

Essentially, more segments, more miles, less driving but in Y (with US), or less segments, more driving but in F (with CO).

I know most "WWTBD" scenarios involve really cool "ALCO-style" iteneraries in far-flung international destinations....but with my  travel pattern, this is the best I have to offer.

She is NOT a cook. She doesn't have a clue. Neither do the dolts who gave her a TV show.

I looked at the calendar, christmas is next week, yes already here...wow!

I'd take no nonsense CO, you are already a plat, it isn't enough miles to suffer thru US and an RJ. BTW I'd leave on Sat too.

Phone interview at 0700, flight at 0955 tomorrow.

Take the call at home or P-Club?

Use Plat status to push back to the later flight for free (if possible)....otherwise, do the call from the P-Club and see if they'll maybe let you use an empty conference room for a little more privacy.

I have liked precisely one recipe of hers, and it is not particularly creative. Then again, I'm not a fan of creative food...mixing things that no one has mixed before generally results in  from me.

She was not hired for cooking, but for looking, or something like that. I don't find her too much to look at, but there are others that are much better looking and can actually cook a bit... and they don't have these freakishly weird phrases they abuse so often.

I like emeril but his 'bam' and 'kick it up a notch' get on my nerves to no end.

Hey All:

Not that this is all that "extraordinary" but I am pretty pleased and wanted to share. Even though I was running on an indoor track and accordingly in "perfect conditions" (more or less), I ran 2 miles in about 13 minutes and 45 seconds. Now, I know that this is not all that remarkable per se, BUT, when I was a child and into my teen years, I would have had a hard time running it in 20 minutes.

Funny at 37, I am running faster then I ever did at 17!:D
