In other news, two of my three missing segments from the MegaDo posted. Still missing LH405. Once that and the PHX run credits, IIRC I will be a whole 25 miles short of Gold with another 2,000-ish to fly, and by calendar year end I will be dangerously close to or over 100K RDM for the first time ever.

He is a high :rolleyes:er

PPlat Chase means saving myself $350 in out of pocket expenses. @:-)

I'm not worried about accruing miles between Dec. and Jan. There's times I feel like I earn them by sneezing.

Good morning, box.

Right. That makes perfect sense.

And the company recently launched an iPhone application that allows users to report service problems.
There's a  for that. :D

and they are trying to pass it off on the FCC as being responsible now. :D

They list CO's WE CARE line as the contact number for issues with network performance.

Yep, it is one of their usual scapegoats. Nevermind the fact that a lack of spectrum would mean that users are unable to connect. That is a different issue than being able to connect but not pass data because the backhaul connection is overloaded (the reality).

I've had over 70K hits from this story. My traffic graph is entertaining to say the least. Not quite enough ad revenue to sponsor dinner at Luger's yet but I don't mind the numbers I'm seeing one bit. ;)

Looking at the numbers thus far today it seems that Europe is picking up on the story. El Pais, svd.se, the Guardian and the Beeb are relatively high up on the list of referring sites.

CDC guidelines for the prevention of the  flu recommend otherwise.

Are there budgetary issues regarding booking this year vs. next (i.e., do you want to incur these costs in 2009 vs. 2010)? Since I have to put travel expenses on a corporate Amex that I have to pay myself, I end up waiting to book until the billing cycle when I know I will be reimbursed, so I tend to book late.

Otherwise, why not book early, particularly since you book refundable tix? You can get your choice of seats and slightly higher upgrade priority.

In other news, I was up late working last night and had the TV on for company, and what did I find at 1 am but Jersey Shore. I made it through about 10 mins -- and realized again that some people will do anything to be on television.
