If you're not going to burn them quickly with BD, I think crediting to CO is the safest bet.

I could burn them very quickly. It would leave me with enough to do an F roundtrip to S. America on TAM, as well as a part cash/part mi. C ticket to Europe. Hence the dilemma.

I'd credit to BD while Diamond Club is still alive.

From BNA I have to connect to most of my destinations. I have the choice on SkyTeam USA of flying through any of the seven domestic hubs with mainline service to all but CVG.

Should CVG even be called a hub anymore?

Yeah. I'm thinking of heading to Recife or Salvador during Easter Weekend. JJ F sounds like a fun way to do it. :-:

It's the Delta version of the hublet.

Sometime in the next four years, a few models say that I (theoretically) won't have to save more out of my pocket, relying on employer contributions and Social Security  Recent research suggests that savers are savers no matter what - some who know me might be surprised that I set aside $4,000+ annually for personal travel (and hit top tier in a hotel and airline program).

I agree that with the idea that 'savers are savers no matter what' -- but, it's also about what & how you spend -- which in your case -- is the bare minimum!^;):-: I can't imagine that you would change any of your 'habits' -- be it saving or spending -- it's imprinted in your cells!;):-:

I'm not at all surprised that you 'budget' (& $4K+) for personal travel -- that's the way it should be! As you well know -- there's lots of folks out there that have no idea what a 'budget' is & consistently spend well above their means!

My beloved MEM and good ol' SLC are heading in that direction quickly as well.

Thank you sfogate. With proper accreditation to teh Box's sbm12 and mersk862, it looks as if the SWU is returnable if you miss the upgrade on the BF sector. Accordingly, you could probably game the system pretty good from the left coast to Europe I would think if you tried ...

Ha ha.....I'm a gate agent for CO. The only way I can game the system is to pull the usual "gate agent shenanigans" because with the new SWU I might not ever see a First Class cabin again. :( :D ;)

CO SWUs are making me reconsider BD crediting. I've got 37,800 BD miles at the moment, which is 300 mi more than necessary to redeem U.S.--->Europe in C on part cash/part mi. I've got a Tampon run and a JFK-PHX-SJO Q-UP booked in January. Those two itineraries would earn me 101,475 BD mi.

Credited to CO, those same two itineraries earn me 24,823 EQM. Decisions, decisions...

When are you doing the SJO run?

In fact, this is my complete OP statement for 2009:

At least the SLC (and MEM to an extent) hublets-to-be see RJs with First Class.

The CVG hublet sees Barbie's Dream Jet, Canadian style, with room for only 49 of her closest friends to spend time in an egalitarian context.

In the past week, I've had three people stop by my cubicle and upon seeing the check just stare until I explain it to them.
