Couldn't the same be said about small mileage bonuses? ;)

I take any bonus I can get. Big bonuses do add up more quickly though, such as when SkyTeam USA accidentally published the 150% bonus last Christmas. Or 20,000 to be told by Bosley I'm losing my hair. Or 10,049 miles for a $20 car rental.

Lucky me had a database issue with my company site. Luckily, the backup worked but it looks like I need to redo my blog.

Very nice break down, one that I am going to copy for work use.

Cool. ^

Glad you enjoyed them. If you liked those, you ought to look at an album called "Built on Squares" by the "Starlight Mints." Absolutely one of the best modern albums ever made, IMHO.

Thank you sfogate. With proper accreditation to teh Box's sbm12 and mersk862, it looks as if the SWU is returnable if you miss the upgrade on the BF sector. Accordingly, you could probably game the system pretty good from the left coast to Europe I would think if you tried ...

Maybe you could build a ship in a bottle. Or you could take up knitting.

It's a shame that CO doesn't do much in the way of large mileage bonuses. :(

Alas, 250k of my miles came in one fell swoop from CO.

In fact, this is my complete OP statement for 2009:

Just for a Friday and Saturday morning meeting. I haven't been to these in a few years and the last few times I was there for committee business but this time I'll be attending as a participant. No body else wanted to go or we are sending them to another part that's more valuable for them in the long run.

CO SWUs are making me reconsider BD crediting. I've got 37,800 BD miles at the moment, which is 300 mi more than necessary to redeem U.S.--->Europe in C on part cash/part mi. I've got a Tampon run and a JFK-PHX-SJO Q-UP booked in January. Those two itineraries would earn me 101,475 BD mi.

Credited to CO, those same two itineraries earn me 24,823 EQM. Decisions, decisions...

I am thinking of taking up heavy drinking.

If you're not going to burn them quickly with BD, I think crediting to CO is the safest bet.

I'm stating to get antsy about burning my BD miles even if it just means a shorter trip to Europe with the other half.

I really have to wonder now if good ol' UA now will in the near future lift the "W" and above fare restriction to match CO?
