Excellent. The $10 F&B certs will at least partially subsidize booze for those of you going to dinner.

That's hilarious. And probably true.

Morning, Box. Half-day of teaching and back to my, for hopefully not too much longer, real home.

aloha box.

I have several trips I need to make in the next month and a half or so. Do I hold them into January for the start of -athon 2010? If I do them this year I'll get more and more points for mileathon, although I have the realistic expectation that I'm not fixin' to win anything. Just some extra bonus points.

Winning the prize is second to the bonus miles, and I would think you would want to be replenishing what you spent on the honeymoon, no? Then again, you are a high fare buyer...PPlat chase does mean something.

In other news, two of my three missing segments from the MegaDo posted. Still missing LH405. Once that and the PHX run credits, IIRC I will be a whole 25 miles short of Gold with another 2,000-ish to fly, and by calendar year end I will be dangerously close to or over 100K RDM for the first time ever.

Does this mean you'll leave the country and work on your FM next year?!?!

Otherwise SWUs shouldn't carry the same weight. Sure BF upgrades to HNL would be nice, but the international is the real kicker.

Now that I've met y'all, international travel seems a whole lot cooler! I'd like to fill up my FM map a bit and get more than the two countries I had in my last passport. I don't see myself doing anything near what some of you do (I'm lookin' at you ALCO), but just bouncing around the US for work gets old pretty quick.

^ that's great news -- good luck on the rest of the missing miles!:-:

A rather "interesting" night. I thought you lived out in the sticks?

Not particularly. Still pretty bleary-eyed at the moment.

I used to do IAH-DEN-IAH weekly for about two months and then off and on for another four months for work and I came to a love/hate relationship with DEN. Being able to use EliteAccess + the Terminal A security = relief. I had to fly there July 4th weekend one year and try to fly home near Thanksgiving and both times were a nightmare. I am going to miss the PClub and Terminal A in general.

Honestly, the layout reminded me of PIT with more sitting room and no elevated moving sidewalks, but it was in the same vain.

My travel habits are perfectly reasonable. You won't catch me doing four back to back roundtrips to Australia (via Hawaii) without spending any time at the destination.

I live downtown, within walking distance of my old job in the historic district. I have a yard that's probably just a touch larger than yours.

It appears that AT&T has completely missed the point, again and is continuing to blame their customers for crappy network performance, instead of ponying up the capital like every other carrier to build a decent network. Instead of fixing their network, they'll create, "incentives" for people to use their iPhones less.

Right. That makes perfect sense.
