FWIW, if you took/credited flights to United, Mileage Plus will give you a printed dump of all mileage-earning activity on your account going all the way back to the beginning of the program. (PM if you want details). It'll basically give you dates and flight numbers.
Since something like 90% of my airplane time has been on UA, that got my OpenFlights records pretty accurate. I know I'm missing some NW SYR-DTW-MEM legs back before Mrs. bdj and I got married and were doing the long-distance thing |

Yes! I absolutely want to do some South America runs, but I'll put my hand up in the air and say I'm a bit nervous about doing those alone - strange really, given that I backpacked around the world in may late teens/early twenties and thought nothing of taking "risks" in travelling. Seems like age has gotten the better of me. (or, in reality, I think being a Mother now, has me realizing that I am no longer just responsible for myself. I have two exquisite human beings who I am responsible for!)
Isn't that 3 youngens you have to take care of ;) Just Kidding!! |

Is there anyone else left to shame into creating a FlightMemory (or OpenFlights), aside from Olton Hall and icurhere2?

Yes, me. However, I just tried to add a signature with a link to my FM, but it keeps linking to the FM sign in page. What the heck am I doing wrong?

Weather is clear in IAD. Maybe the chance of rain in LAX is causeing all of the airport employees to call out?

No, they immediately get on the freeway and drive as fast as possible thereby maximizing their opportunity to run into something or someone. Seriously, in San Diego, there are 50 to 70 accidents on the freeway every day, on average. When it rains, that number spikes from 350 to 400, and the highest I've seen was 425 accidents. In a single day. I do not miss that part of living in SoCal.

How do people find jobs that are located in cities where they do not currently reside?

Off to DFW in a bit... I have to fly AA tonight to SNA. I haven't flown on an airline without status in... well, I think since 2000. :(
Wish me luck. |

Mine is so unaccurate you wouldn't believe! The From/To destinations are accurate, but I guessed on a lot of the airlines and there are no dates or flight numbers or anything like that.
Going forward, I will be more accurate, but 40 years of flying is a lot to remember! I have no doubt there are a lot of flights that are not recorded because I simply forgot I took them.

Thank you. Why? Because I have a passion for the material, mainly. I have found that teachers who sound like they care often end up getting more of their material to permanently reside in their students' heads. I also want to give back, because I had a history teacher in high school that made me want to teach...I'm all about wanting to be in the position to be a role model. I also think society is headed way downhill at way too fast a speed, so I want to counter that in my little corner of the planet. Plus, I'm a skilled public speaker and can hold people's attention.

Don't all rush at once to book flights .... seating is limited, and is by appointment only ... you need a gilt edged invitation to enter the Brit Compound to see the beginning of the Lake House construction ....:D Gilt edged invitation extended to everyone and his/her dog....:D:D:D Dunkin' may or may not be provided, depends on how I feel! Too bad I will be stuck in a rehearsal of questionable efficiency... |
