Yummy!!! I assume the reason for doing this on a particular aircraft type is the room issue. I have had these on DL and US and really like them!! Tasty!!

No, but I have driven a 1983 Mercedes with non-functioning air conditioning from the months of June-September in Houston, during a summer where we were regularly cracking 100+. I lack the  sufficient to describe that summer.

Perhaps you could be a guinea-pig and try out "The Ladders." Am curious to know whether it's worthless.

As did I, in a 1986 Toyota pickup. No a/c, no radio, but it ran like a top. That summer was the only time I can recall starting to feel sick from the heat while driving down the road at 55mph with both windows down. The only thing that has come close to that was Yuma, AZ in late June. Absolutely horrible, offensive heat.

I never paid for it but the few searches I did there were almost entirely fruitless.

CM, this is great, and I agree totally. I need to remember to be this eloquent the next time I'm with a bunch of i-banker/attorney/consultant college buddies and they ask what I'm up to. :)

Thanks. :D I am in the process of working up a pitch speech that explains my take on how the teaching of history can be converted from the stereotypical bore that people see it as into something more engaging. The economics course that icurhere2 turned me on to got me started on this idea that the material can still be taught and tested for retention and comprehension without being delivered in a straightforward and blah (that's a technical term) method.

That decrepit, stupid Mercedes had leather seats (or what passes for leather after 25 years), that could burn you straight through your slacks on 100+ days. Steering wheel was encased in black leather. Made placing fingers on it very uncomfortable.

I'm sorry about being completely obtuse with this, but I cannot get my signature to work. Thanks to CM I figured out the FM part, but now I can't get my signature to show on FT. Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing? Or can you not see your own signature?

adelauro Jan 13, 2010 2:04 pm

Never mind, there it is. :o

Oh, so it's fine for you to engage in public speaking and educate the masses, but when someone else feels the pressing urge to do so (perhaps in front of the White House, maybe after a few drinks), you feel the need to intervene and put a stop to it.

Oh wait... I am headed to PRG! Have fun with that!

US abandoned their fancy drinks? I thought they were selling reasonably well. I think I had a mojito or margarita or something on my flight back from CDG last year.

...or on the street before garbage pickup in July and August. I shudder just remembering that.

Congratulations to CM and ALCO on the various and sundry academic achievements.
