Tomorrow is another Hyatt stay -- so far, more Hyatt than home this year... ^

Sorry about the  at your father's place.:( Yay for the Hyatt stay!;)^

When I said I wanted 7 stays in January to require 11 stays in the remaining 11 months for diamond, one should know I intend to effect the plan.

WWBD?? I have two AA LAX-EWR at the refundable H fare booked for MRs. Unfortunately positioning flights are still pretty steep ($300+). so if all worked out it would be about $1K for 15000 miles - which I think is no good.

On the plus side - I could purchase for $400 and refund if aus-lax doesn't drop. On the minus side, I don't expect aus-lax to drop any further than $220/trip making total expenses still at $900 for a pretty crappy cpm. I'm probably going to 86 the trips.

The AUS-LAX is the portion that is killing the deal - any other thoughts? I have less than 2.5 hours left.. :)

So sorry to hear of your loss, but glad that in the end your family was able to come together.

You're telling me. I do hope the next one won't be on the same night that I have work or a gig so that by the time I show up, I'm literally half asleep (cf. Central NJ Mini-Do '09). Way to make a (in most cases) first impression...

Where in Secaucus do you park? It would be worthwhile for me - vs. parking in Hoboken!

There's a lot right next to the station - as you're getting off the turnpike and see it, follow signs for "Park & Ride". I was in such a crazy rush that I didn't really pay attention to the weekday rates, which are done by the hour I believe, but the weekend rate is great and there was no trouble finding a spot at 12:30 pm on a Saturday.

Sec-Penn is 10 minutes, $5.75, and the trains run quite frequently as both the Northeast Corridor or Morris & Essex line come through there.

I can't imagine that Hoboken would be easier (or much cheaper!) ^

OMG - schools are closed again tomorrow. Did it snow this weekend? Nothing that accumulated ...

Sounds like you have two different weekends / need two different staging trips? Or $500 per 7,500 miles?

You are executing said plan very efficiently and quickly.

Finally caught up!;)

icurhere2 & steph3n: I just had a very tasty Kashi dinner:
Lemongrass Coconut Chicken (w/red quinoa pilaf) -- 18g protein, 7g fiber & 300 calories. It was on sale at Target yesterday for $3 -- so I thought it'd be worth trying!^

Also on my 2nd glass of red wine -- it's been a trying night -- got lost trying to get to son's bands' gig -- venue not accurate on mapquest, nor GPS -- got there just as they finished. :rolleyes:This is after their slot was moved up by an hour!:mad:

I went to talk to the 'organizers' -- I was just sooo pissed off that 'they' are so disorganized! So I made this ridiculous trip for nothing!

The M&E doesn't stop at Secaucus. It joins the NEC between SEC and NYP. North Jersey Coast Line is the only line that serves it from NYP. For mnmag, it's Exit 15X on the Eastern Spur.

Brain Fart. M&E Middltown direct (also Monteclair) does stop at SEC. It doesn't stop downstairs with the rest of the Hoboken Division.

Sorry for your loss, but glad it worked out so the family could be a family.
