I had a great sushi experience in HNL at a hole-in-the-wall place called Morio's. In Tokyo (assuming you head into town) I found that the "good" sushi places around Tsukiji were way better quality than the sushi bars that were all picture menus. But there is something about the experience in the latter that was fun. My second day I actually did both in a 2.5 hour span. :D

It's official. My hotel room has a faint smell of gym locker room.

Also, no one in Austin knows how to drive, so it can be a bit entertaining, or  +, depending on what happens.

Wot?!!?? Not sure how you made that assessment. Due to teh gridlock, I'm not sure cars even move in this city.

Ref. the DO DO thread, any thoughts on a certain tobacco smoking person's recent hint of never say never?

I witnessed driving on 360, 183, and Mopac that made my jaw drop during the years I lived there. Sure, no one in Houston uses a turn-signal, ever... but Austin drivers are just flat-out scary.

That would be spectacular and go a very long way toward requalification. But at this point qualifying is still in doubt to begin with despite having flown the miles because the LH outbound and the domestic UA segments still have not posted.

The OPSC agent said I should see those miles by the 9th...which implies that these miles will post on the CO side tomorrow and be available to me after the midnight data update. If I wake up Wednesday morning and do not see the correct miles from the MegaDo, I will have to call again and run out of patience.

Probably because we are driving under 70 mph. ;)

It feels better when I wear the frankenboot but I *hate* said boot, but know I should wear it. It just is difficult going to a Christmas party and ugly boot :(
