I only have 5 more days of vacation and I'm hoping to miss any crappy weather when I go back to work on Sunday.

We just got a look at the new bid (start date in Jan) and it looks like I will remain working in the BS (baggage service) department for another few months.^

Dirty gate agent secrets: I use to love working Saturday nights. I would come in at 6:30pm and it was movie night at the gates. We could get in two, possibly three movies in that night. Best night of the week.

IAH will be cold and have some rain/low ceilings, but no snow that I can see. ALCO may see something else in the GFS though.

That's awesome. We used to do that at the first company I worked for in San Diego; there was literally nothing going on the week after Christmas and they usually shut down the office completely but that year they had a skeleton crew I was part of. After getting everything that could possibly be worked on completed, we watched movies and ordered pizza. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon. :-:

Yeah, it was awesome. I was always low man on the totem pole as far as line management was concerned, but functionally I was in charge of quite a few different things, so if I remember right I believe there were so many people out that day that I was the highest ranking employee in the office. It was good to be king.
