Legal writing is odd. You're constantly using (but meticulously and copiously citing) the ideas of others. Often, the footnotes/endnotes section of a law review comment or article will be longer than the piece itself.

Yeah, that whole stare decisis thing kind of makes it a necessity.

Very good work. Don't know how much you saved overall due to those activities but I multiply by roughly 1.67 to see how much more I would have needed to earn (pre-tax) at work to gain the same after-tax purchasing power. Those are the numbers where one feels very good about oneself ^

I tend to agree with Justice Holmes (no, not Larry Holmes :D) when he said about stare decisis, "It is revolting to have no better reason for a rule of law than that so it was laid down in the time of Henry IV.":D

Reata up in DFW is ok, but the one down in Alpine is *much* better. Only downside is flying to MAF and driving 150mi.... Or find a private charter into ALP. ;)

Side note, the BB8830 browser is . I'm stuck on one right now.

Post 114:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: passed with no fanfare or leadup, love it! Those are the most meaningful.

Wow, I can haz mobile milestone? Didn't even see it on phone here. Howdy box from EWR. :)

At AUS.

Watched a CRJ abort a takeoff at IAH. It started its takeoff roll, got about halfway down the runway, hit the brakes, exited and came around to try again. Really bizarre.

The AUS PC agent told me that they're still admitting DL/NW but without guests. It's apparently causing a lot of confusion.

Precisely the same as my only aborted takeoff (down to the CRJ but in TLH instead of IAH).

I blame the lack of coffee for my wrong answer.

icuhere2, I know that you have had quite good luck redeeming ST USA miles at the "low" level for trips to Europe. Did you rely on EF, NW.COM or have you some secret with DL.COM? I know that DL sometimes uses the old make inventory available just prior to flight. I am starting to think about going to burn down mode. Any pointers would be welcome!

Aloha box.

I predict :rolleyes:v is sitting drunk on a wagon to Mexico right about now.

The trip I recently booked to CDG was on a lark (and the first city I entered). I don't have an EF subscription but probably will during next year, as it's intended as a "burn" year. I currently still use nwa.com with maximum flexibility with partners. I also stay modestly flexible with airports; I'm parking at mom's, flying out of DCA, and coming back to IAD knowing that it will cost me a total of $13 to make up the difference using mass transit.
