I've heard you people down there in the queen city are like that

I just had sashimi from a supermarket for dinner tonight.

I'm at the seafood counter to buy some shrimp and out from the back comes a Japanese guy in uniform. I asked him if he were going to cut some fresh fish and the shrimp guy said that he does not speak English but if you show him what you want, he will make it for you if he has the ingredients. He also said that this guy makes the sushi for a whole line of the stores in this area.

I did not try to special order, just bought some of the sashimi which the shrimp guy told me had just been put out within the last half hour. It certainly was acceptable so I surprisingly can get that stuff at Publix whenever that sushi chef is there.

In CLT (and also assume in RDU, windwalker?), they do that at the grocery chain Harris Teeter, and it is really quite good sushi all things considered.:-:

I've done so with Harris Teeter, Kroger, and Publix - no complaints about quality or value.

Interesting convergance here - there was a "firefighter combat" competition where we hosted the awards, etc and running concurrently, a "Miss Fitness" competition held here poolside.

I have the feeling that there were quite a few firefighter-fitness hooks ups over the last couple of nights.

I was under the impression that everybody who was looking for employment found a job until I read elsewhere that Hartmann holds a P-Club membership solely for the shower benefits. :rolleyes:

I also heard something about the faultless functionality around here.

Yeah, it is surprising, as the value at the price point, IMHO, is a pretty good deal. Reasonable people could differ I grant.:)

You sure are, one time I blew up an Italian sausage in a microwave while trying to defrost it. :rolleyes::eek::D

oh man my brain is not working right. I took some tylenol cold and sinus in liquid form nighttime cool warming formula....at 3 hours ago. I slept so soundly I missed phone calls.
I woke up and thought it was 6am and I had slept all of night :D

I received one of the items I need to participate in FT Secret Santa today. Almost ready to ship off my box.
