Called resort company I have continued to abuse for all of 2009 - I somehow ended up with points remaining. So I got them to extend my points to get a 1 bedroom townhome in the mountains on the way back from D.C. after the new year.

The dog discussion continues. I wonder if I can convince her to let me fly to pick it up and then buy all of the accessories and crap via ShopOnePass.

Shouldn't all purchases require earning miles / points / discounts at least two ways (credit card premium plus some other form of rebate)?

At least you got your item - UPS still hasn't picked up my two boxes of coins.

I got 11,000 miles when I bought my TV a few years ago.

I'm working on re-acquiring a CO card, so yes. We both have Hilton AmEx and would buy via a OnePass partner, so even if I don't get a CO card we would get HH points and some amount of CO miles, but no cash rebate.

That's the spirit (as long as the TV wasn't $11,000).

How do the other mileage malls look compared to CO? There are some things where I could get a small amount of miles or small amount of MyPoints but I do Upromise and take cash instead.

icurhere2 Dec 14, 2009 6:50 pm

OpinionPlace just sent me a request asking me to do a 75 minute survey for $10.

The last time I tried to use the AA mall I never got the miles.

The HH mall isn't bad. I made my first eBates purchase today. 6% back at Target.

Currently mulling over a watch for the fiancee at 14% back, but knowing her she will return it.

Not that expensive but still expensive for its size as it was second from the top Sony. 4 miles/$ + CO Chase.
