I have time to drop in a line that someone posted to me on face book about their time at the DTW airport:

"YAY! Scott my experience in DTW was that the TSA people there are asshats compared to both JFK and LAS. Otherwise DTW was fine. :-)~"

Event the commoners are learning that the TSA are not the greatest!!

We were both in agreement on that. I also considered FL, even though that would mean forfeiting CO miles, but they were actually more expensive than US. Saving $70/ticket and getting CO miles won out. Once we were down to a US/FL choice, it really was an issue of price and miles. Not like we were talking about flying a particularly desirable airline in either case.

I get the alerts but haven't bothered trying - I was perfectly happy with some of the non-limited items (e.g. the $20 statement credit from Walmart for two $40 purchases of some such).

My poor work laptop - for the last three hours, it's been simultaneously burning Flash presentations, uploading zip archives to the web, compressing/decompressing other files, etc. It's getting a little warm to the touch but the State can't put the software I need on a more powerful machine (e.g. my personal desktop).

Wow, when I think that evolution is working, it is nice to be reminded that we're still basically flinging monkey poop at each other.

When would you otherwise leave for the airport, and how long do you expect the interview to last? I'd lean towards the PC if it was at all going to be close.

In that argument GTITAN's father's position is untenable, whether or not you're chooglin' on down to New Orleans.

I could see how this may really impact EUA numbers for next year. On the flip side, to upgrade my SAT-BOS fare, it lists it as $315.

Absolutely -- for that amount of money, it's worth it. I wonder, however, if CO is trying to create the perception that EUAs are scarce in order to encourage buyups.

Unfortunately, the PH Philadelphia is supposed to be subpar, because I have a FFN I wanted to burn in a couple of weeks.

FL coach is *tight* (I think about 29" in Y on the 717s). Unless you're in business class or they're cheaper, or you have a hankering for XM radio, there's no reason to fly FL.
