I believe they made that change back in July. ;)

It definitely comes in handy because you can now load all future flights at your convenience and not worry about having your stats skewed. ^

Why bother loading future flights when you won't know the tail number until the day before travel, at best? Or, if you end up not traveling, you would have the effort of the both loading and removing the future flight, whereas you would expend no time should you wait until the day of travel.

I also remember some cancelling by posting on the Mega Do thread - but that post was likely not picked up. Likely a good thing to email the Star Mega Do email about your cancellation. (It is possible you did and the email was lost).

With all the people signing up - it is disappointing that the organizers have not yet reach the required number of participants to break even.

I cancelled by post, then by email. I'm still getting the emails.  Does that meet your standard?

I thought I would have a job by now, and I don't. The Mega-Do was going to be my birthday present to myself. :(

If I am considered to be a member of some pissant inferior "Hall of Shame" (ooh, I felt more guilty just typing it) because of circumstances beyond my control dictating my need to cancel my attendance at a very expensive party, so be it. I manage my own life, no one else.

And by the way, if we are such a shameful lot, those who look down from their lofty holier than thou perch are welcome to cease their mingling.

That's nice, I like that. The option to go to your map and see what you have put in for the future is cool too.

I was on the hall of shame and booked within the deadline of today :-:

You can do it before.

Yep. They fly quite a few routes for UA Express on them, in addition to some DL flying.

Because then I can preview what my map will look like after I take the future flights. :p

I find that it also helps me keep up to date with my flights if I add them shortly after I book them (deleting them if I cancel) and then just adding the tail number at any time after my flights.

I never load flights until after the fact. I'd rather do it all at once, rather than have to go back and fill in the details later.

They've been doing gate checks during boarding on IAH-ATL flights for weeks now. Every IAH-ATL flight I've had for over a month has had them there. So far I've been lucky and have managed to avoid their nonsense at the gate.

I have yet to encounter that on any of my recent flights, fortunately. The most I ever seem to notice is a police officer or TSA agent observing people as they board IAH-DCA flights.

I sent them two e-mail saying I wasn't coming. In the long run many people I know gave up as they simply got fed up with the "news next tuesday" that continued for months and months dragging everyone along. In the end people decided to go on with their lives and make alternate plans.

When you fly on a weekly basis, that method seems to make sense.

That reminds me, I have not updated my FM since March, and I have a bunch of interesting new lines and dots to add. I should try to do that this weekend. I still have not loaded all my domestic flights before 2008, and it's going to be a real PIA to reconstruct it, especially since I did not diligently begin keeping track of tail numbers until 2008.

A couple thousand in coins a month (like I do) is very manageable.

Remember - I didn't have to spend much on food in ZRH due to Hyatt Diamond. And I was only there 26 hours.
