The Ren definitely.

Thanks, fozz and Hartmann. I've stayed at the Ren a few years ago and it was fine; just didn't know if that's where I should go again or try the Marriott. I think you've both answered my question.

I've decided to move over there Thursday night, and return the car Thursday evening so I don't have to do it Friday morning. That should give me another hour Friday morning that I normally spend driving to the airport and getting the car turned in. For a pre-8:00 AM flight, that hour is quite valuable.

There is a demotivator poster with that same epithet on it. Personally, I usually post this outside my office/cube:

Very!

You can do a temple or two in the afternoon/evening, a good meal, Tsukiji in the morning and then head out to the airport. I put in another 24 hours on the ground but I was also fighting jetlag. If you're already on local time you'll be fine.

I too have declined the tag as it would go against my goal of laying low.

My favorite is still the idiots with CO Priority Luggage Tags from 1999. I still have mine but don't need to feel the need to keep them on my luggage ten years later.

We leave ours on until the bag disintegrates.

I have. And my argument, while I stand by what I'd said, really had no place in this forum anyway, so I deleted it as well.

Flying into CAN (ORD-NRT-CAN). We've got a Friday evening, all day Saturday, and most of the day Sunday in Hong Kong. Any recommendations for accommodations in the $300/night range?

What exact dates? Any preference with particular chain?

I was "seeing" a girl that lived in London in 2001 and would travel across the Atlantic for a periodic booty call. We would meet in random EU cities because it was so cheap to travel after 9-11 (:o). Flew to MAD for Thanksgiving and ended up getting a roofie, which had been intended for my friend. Ruined the weekend.

I've done it a number of times.

Namely, sitting on one of those things beats sitting in traffic and dealing with LAX curbside and b, those HNL flights are bloody early and attempting to drive up to catch those would hurt.

Certainly, thank you for that. ^ Truer words never spoken.

My old ones have long since been lost or pulled off by baggage handlers. The last one I had was pulled off a few years back when they switched to the paper tags by a bag check person at IAH who pulled it off right in front of me and trashed it.

Your feelings are not shared by other UA 1Ks. There is a famous thread where a standby 1K dealing with a WX delay and was passed over for 3 guys going to SYD. UA rolled over and gave him compensation.

I felt s:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: safe with the extra identification checks that the TSA was giving in SLC this morning prior to boarding. The overwhelming sense of satisfaction was hard to keep down, oh I'm sorry that was the biscoffs I had eaten on the flight from SFO.
