Writing a PPT deck for a little seis sigma class I'm giving in Estado de Mexico next week. The song from the current Heineken TV spots just came on my internet radio. I think I'm going to adjourn from ANOVA and regression to go down to the hotel bar for a beer.

But it probably won't be a Heineken.

Can you send that deck to my team in Asia? Because they are still not getting it.. 4.5 sigma "is not possible".

Isn't Six Sigma teh thingy that teaches you how to be a more efficient  capable of stalling meaningful personal development in favor of serving the whims of your Sith-Lord masters?

Yes. That and massive stop-ships/recalls. Sith-Lord masters don't like either.

Damn, Miller 64 is really @:-).:-:

I don't think you could get drunk off the stuff. :-:

I feel bad for the Canadians. There is a huge banner in the outfield of the SkyDome advertising that Bud Light with Lime is now available in Canada.

Yes. In continuous process industries (ie refineries), you can see real results without stifling development.

I thought I posted about this a few months ago. Something to the effect of "I just drank a Miller 64, now I have to find a beer".

A lot of the boarding schools around here (southeastern PA) begin then too. And the university I taught at in SC didn't give labor day off (not surprising that the state of South Carolina would make people work on Labor Day).

I don't see why not. I think I'm going to start taking that SQ JFK-FRA flight when I need to go to Europe until the 744 is retired.

It's a great flight. Times are superb as you can actually manage some sleep because it leaves so late and it avoids a full day of meetings when you land (half days are manageable).

Flight home leaves FRA pretty early (830am?) but you get into JFK at around 1120, and the immigration ques are empty. You have a nice afternoon in NYC and after a quick one hour nap your body is good to go. :-:

Once CO transitions fully to Star they're going to lose me on this route.

Not only is the timing good, but for those of us who fly paid C/J, SQ fares to places like FRA (and NRT for that mattern) are relatively low. If you have to connect to somewhere else at FRA, it's especially convenient, as you arrive in the late afternoon and can skip meetings altogether.

Hell, I'd be happy with 4.5 sigma. 6 sigma is hard for dairy processes when you've got tight spec ranges, because cows don't always make the same milk.

I'm not doing full 6S training - just teaching a few tools to a plant that's looking to get some variation under control.

InBev strikes again. Perhaps it is a strategy to increase Labatt's sales by offering awful alternatives.

On the other hand, Hoegaarden is much more available in the US than it used to be... I've also seen cases of Leffe at my local beer distributor, though I don't think that's InBev's doing.

If we have any snow.

If I knew how to drive one.

And frankly, the cows don't care.:D No performance bonuses.
