NHL Network Online had a six-minute clip that I  thru of one of the San Jose Sharks getting a backseat ride with the Blue Angels. All they showed of the hop itself was the backseat footage of takeoff (pilot didn't even max it out -) and one sequence of a barrel roll. Yeah, because barrel rolls are the most exciting profile that the Blues solos fly.

The footage I have of several reporters losing lunches and/or sounding like they are getting a colonoscopy without anesthesia was more interesting, and that was shot in a combat-ready F-16. :td: to the NHL Network people.

I've had mixed emotions about my new job, but after today -- and realizing that I'll never have to deal with  like this again -- I'm suddenly ecstatic.

Sept. 1st, here we come. :-:

Still need your off season fix of hockey? Training camp has started for football, and this is my sport. First preseason game is this Sunday night! "Boo-yah":p

If the person in the Hummer died, then that statement would be true.

I read that it's was his late mother's (recently died from cancer) Corvette -- poor guy was an orphan as his dad died when he was 10. Apparently he was driving the car b/c he was missing his mom.:(

If alcohol was not a factor, as the prosecutor's office said, then the kids most likely lost control of the 'Vette. If the parents did buy the car, they are surely feeling the appropriate level of guilt and remorse for their stupidity.

I could really put a tasteless joke in here, but I'll bite my tongue.

Well, if mnmag is correct, then, it is a hand me down. So... there's really no one to blame but the teenager himself, SIS (so it seems).

Waiting for UPS to deliver a coin order -- usually the deliveries are by 10:30am. I placed the order on fri., so am pleased that I'm getting delivery today, since I'll be away for the w/end starting t'morrow. I am captive in my kitchen, as I can't hear that door bell upstairs in my house!

I might get more into football this season...perhaps I should dust off my Big Blue loyalties and my Eagles hatred.

You would  too at this NHL clip. Production value suh-huh-huh-huh-ucked, and I think I know why. They showed a lot of preflight and very little flight because NHL Network would not air one of the young star players getting his a$s handed to him by the F/A-18. Better than even money that he passed out or cried uncle to the pilot. You can hear the pilot telling the player that they just pulled 7.5G, but you don't see that happening. Poobrains.

So the two journalists held in N. Korea are back in the States. Somehow I have a feeling they'll try something else in the near future in N. Korea again.

I, agree -- the teenager took his life into his own hands. Maybe he was depressed & had a death wish, or something. Sad, in any case.

Nothing wrong with blaming the kid. Nearly all of us thought we were invincible at that age. The kid won the unlucky lottery. Sad, but true.

It is going to be a while, I'd guess. Figure a couple weeks. Things rarely move quickly around here.

In other news, why are so many people confused about seats on CO's 772, and why did SeatGuru change their version of the seat map to be incorrect??

I need to try that drink some time! See what the classic cocktails are all about.

You headed up this way soon?

Fly outta TUL. It is cheap here

Dont try that in Stillwater! One tower down and no 3G!

Bad boy!

Again dont come to Stillwater! no Target for 75 Miles!

Not good. I had a call like that one time from a University about a freezer that is broken down. Of course I hadnt worked there for 6 months!

House closing at 4 pm today and skylight is now fixed. Funding issue doesnt seem like a problem although they are charging for electronic transfer! UGH!

More  multiquoting. CM is guilty of it this morning, as well. ;)

I don't know why SeatGuru changed, but until it's fixed be prepared for an influx of 772 seat threads. :-:

If he was thinking like that, it's pretty twisted to take the friend along. I've been depressed pretty fiercely a few times, and whenever the thought crossed my mind to drive my car into a phone pole, at least I had the common decency to entertain the thought when no one else was in the car and when traffic was light.
