I had theft of technology from a building Sunday night / Monday morning.

I hate when I wakeup and think "it must be like 4am", and it turns out it is 7:30am. Not cool.

On the other hand, my blackberry greeted me with a Yankees won, Red Sox lost, and an EUA on my flight Friday night.

It is pretty bad the wakeup call purpose, but nothing that can be done about it now, it is historic now :(

One of the hallmarks of good cooking is consistency. When you order something you expect it to be the same every time. The no-longer-new guy in the cafeteria is anything but. I've ordered the same thing (taylor ham and cheese omelet) 6 times now over the course of a month and I've gotten it 6 different ways. I'm through with it. I'm debating having a word with the executive chef about it.

Today's specialty was an omelet with the filling on the inside and the outside. :rolleyes: W.T.F. :mad: I think it would be illegal to call that abortion of cooking an omelet in the EU. :-:

the best way to eat peaches is with some sugar, cinnamon, a flaky flaky crust and call it a pie or cobbler :D

I do like myself a good 'crisp' with oatmeal crust sometimes however!

There are people north of Exit 100 that use taylor ham? I thought that was a Philly/South Jersey thing exclusively. Mmmmmm.....taylor ham, fried eggs, onions on a long roll. Too bad I had my Rice Krispies already.

I've been known to grill peaches (bring the juices out) and then coat the top in "raw" sugar and caramelize with a torch. Truly an outstanding, and simple, desert. Especially fun to prepare when drunk.

I think I'm going to buy a dSLR today at lunch. I've been avoiding this since mine got jacked out of my luggage in CUN :mad::mad::mad: a couple years ago because the convenience of a point and shoot in the pocket can't be beat. I'm always yearning for more capabilities than my PaS offers (even though it has full manual ability, it's a pain in the :rolleyes:).

Yup. @:-) I was unaware of this splendid pork product until I started working here a dozen years ago, even then it took me a few years to even try it. :o

To show how clueless this cook is, I first ordered my omelet as a 'taylor ham and cheese omelet' but he said he never heard of Taylor ham. The person training him told him that it was pork roll, which he heard of :rolleyes:. I'm pretty quick on the uptake @:-) so when I went back about a week or so later (and he was flying solo) I ordered a omelet with pork roll and cheese (yes, I had to switch around the order of the items, too :rolleyes:). The fellow behind me, though, ordered 'taylor ham, egg and cheese on a roll' and he said he never heard of that. :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: Slowly (cause we know how some jersey folks can be) he ordered it again. Still, the guy said he never heard of Taylor ham. :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Every week or so I want an omelet but it's such a sad display of incompetence that I don't want to be bothered. :rolleyes:
