Nope, which is one reason I am still stuck at Hilton

I let my HHonors Gold lapse. After enjoying the benefits of SPG Plat for several years, I was thoroughly unimpressed with Hilton's program and benefits. From what I hear, Diamond is not the huge step up from Gold that Plat is from Gold with SPG. Accordingly, I don't intend to switch my loyalties anytime soon. I have yet to find any Hilton properties offering rooms or common areas approaching what I commonly receive at SPG properties (and I have stayed at some fairly nice Hiltons, such as Exec Floor Hilton Athens):

I want to see Julie and Julia (even though it didn't get great reviews) because I just think I would enjoy it.

I saw it a few weeks ago. ;)

I really liked it.

I would love to be Plat in SPG but most SPG props are too expensive in the areas I travel to for business. You are absolutely right ALCO, HH is nothing to write home about.

The one above the text is the new Four Points Levis Convention Centre, just across the St. Lawrence from Quebec City. The one below that is the W Montreal.

A decent amount of this movie was shot just down the street from my old apt. I definitely walked by a few times as they were filming.

I wonder if I made the cut. Anyone see a rogue ?

*A Mega DO

OK, I was originally interested in the DO, but then a conflict came up & I dropped out. Now said conflict has been moved to another w/end, so I am, theoretically, available to participate.

I looked at the list & it looks like quite a few B:rolleyes:Xizens are participating! Is everyone going on the JFK-FRA LH flight?

I originally thought about doing all Y, but now am reconsidering to do Y on the charter & C on TATL.

I've read through the latest MegaDO thread, so I know I have some time. As much as I know this is expected to be an 'annual' event -- somehow I think this first MegaDO is going to have some things that future ones may not.

I'm doing the party flight in C and the charter in Y (and working as a FA ). I cannot imagine that this will be an annual thing, certainly not at this level.

I just checked my father in on CO to come and visit me tomorrow. 23:59. He went from 19B to 14A on a 738. I told him it was exit row window, and he was happy. For an infrequent flyer, it's like flying in F for him. He asked me if they are going to serve anything. I don't know. FLL-IAH at lunch time. CO 1849. Oh, magical 8 ball, is there even a chance for a VDB tomorrow? He's willing to do it. I'm guessing your answer will be no.

Yeah, that's what I thought! Thanks for the insights! I'm looking forward to seeing you at work as an FA!!!:p

I was able to get a 2 day Luxury rental from National for just about $60 (used a free day as well). I'd much rather save money on the ground transportation in NJ and spend it on something that will create a longer lasting memory at one of our destinations.

To me, it was a no brainer...

Well, it's your money (duh), so you gotta go with what you want. That sounds like a compressed schedule, though. If I had to do it all over again (and I hope I don't sound like a d-bag here) I would delay my honeymoon by a week or so following the wedding to get rid of all that post wedding stress. We were snippy for the first few days of the honeymoon until we wound down a bit.

I totally agree, and the 4-6 points stay's I have with Hilton is what gets me to Diamond, but never really see any benefit other than wallet candy.:(
