I mowed my own lawn tonight (with a push mower) but actually felt a little sorry for those prisoners who got stuck on lawn duty. We're talking many acres with the smallest push mowers I've ever seen (and poor fourth guy standing in the middle of the field swinging a weed trimmer). ^

I did. I take all the plastic trays out and put $450 in coins in each box and carry a few in a canvas bag. Once I used my carry on bag :o

I love going by our local prison and watching the inmates plowing the field. I'm against the death penalty but way into hard labor for inmates!

That phrase can take on so many disturbing connotations in the prison context.

Why? Shouldn't incarceration be a bit punishing?

^ It's interesting; some branches like the trays; others don't. I can't figure out these banks :D

For many crimes, I'm fine with rehabilitating rather than punishing, and the area being mowed was open (so these aren't the worst of criminals).

Actually, mowing the lawn is probably the best form of "rehabilitation" rural TN county jail can provide ...

"Nah - calling it your job don't make it right, Boss."

"Taking it off here Boss."

"Shaking the tree over here, Boss."

"Checking my yo yo, Boss."

"I'm still shakin' it boss, I'm still shakin' it!"

I used to believe that and for some it can happen; however, as you say, mowing the lawn may be very "rehabilitating" ;)

I don't want North Korea labor camps, but I don't think a prison should have all the services that a university or similar have. I'm going way too Omni; I apologize. Plus1 is going to think I'm not the liberal he claims I am.

Apparently a business class ticket on VS for 63K StarPoints (through ANA) is appealing. The s/o is willing to open up another credit card for the bonus points and wants in on the coin action. I am thinking the Starwood card is the best option because of all the redemption opportunities and transfer options. The way I see it is that you basically earn *points at 1.25 per dollar because of the 5K bonus for every 20K transferred to airline programs.

Anyone have any suggestions on any other card that offer bonus miles for sign up and that would be as beneficial as the SPG AMEX?

Why only 450? You can fit 500 nicely (550 if you push it) and it makes 2 boxes out of 1, making the consolidation much easier. I like the new plastic trays because they stack so much easier when they're empty, making the disposal much easier!

If you're certain that VS will be the disposition, the VS Black card provides 1.5 miles per dollar and a larger sign-up bonus.

Plus1 is quite pleased with his TA (moi) for his weekend travel. AVOD both ways (Muppit fare) and a $20 visa card with his CY stay.

OMG, I hope she is ok.
