In my Le  of the day. You'd think with all the walking I've been doing the past few days I'd lose weight, not gain two pounds.

They're yours. I'll send a PM when I get home.

KE has about the most bizarre FFP I have ever seen...

You can get an awful lot of parking for $199+tax ... even considering the room value of $100, at 11 days you'll still only break even compared to the prices of the $9/day parking places.

Parking only packages at case de jrzyshawn start at $129 with complimentary shuttle to EWR. Add $75 for HPN, LGA and JFK. :p

Indeed. I particularly love the ones who won't believe facts when presented with all the evidence.

Preach on. Don't forget to bring an IMI piece just to offend the locals a little more. ^

Well, you could just connect in CAI, then and head onwards... to ADD, NBO, JNB, etc. I just thought the least amount of time spent on MS, the better (they are a dry airline).

I would love to see the pyramids and such in person, make no mistake. But I'm not touching that part of the world as a civilian (read: non-military or non-contractor) until I can be reasonably assured of my safety.

I would consider Bobby Flay's burger joint for a night out.

If AeroMexico's Mundo Premiere offers 150% on DL Q-UPs (can't tell, as the earnings section of the website is down), that could be a decent back-up program. I just started doing some Km--->Mi. conversions from their redemption table, and found the following for Biz Rewards departing from the U.S./Canada:

U.S./Canada ~ 44,750mi. equivalent
Mexico/Central America/Caribbean/Northern S. America ~59,650mi.
Southern S. America/Europe/N. Africa ~79,500mi.
Asia (Including India) ~99,500mi.
Australia/N.Z./S. Pacific ~149,000mi.
RTW ~ 218,750mi.

I bolded the ones I thought were pretty good deals.

Also,

Benefits between any point of the Americas to or from Europe, North Africa, Israel, the Middle East and Africa involve crossing the Atlantic Ocean.

Benefits between any point of the Americas to or from Northern Asia, Southeast Asia, Southwest Asia and Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific involve crossing the Pacific Ocean.

Benefits to India may involve crossing the Atlantic Ocean or the Pacific Ocean and returning along the same route.
Not too shabby.

So I guess the frequent attacks on tourists just stopped being carried in the news, huh? Or maybe I'm not watching the correct news channels?

I suppose it depends on what you're looking for. I like the gentle rolling hills and the trip was really for my wife who, growing up in PHX, had not tasted from the cup of glory that is Blue Bell Ice Cream. She enjoyed the tour and we had a good time on a mini road trip. ^

Agreed. It wasn't bad while we were standing in line; they had a few tents set up for shade and there was a lovely breeze. It was demonstrably hotter once we got out of the tour though. So much so that an older lady had a syncopal episode while we were waiting outside. EMTs were called, ensued among the Blue Bell tour employees, but she was fine. Just needed some water and a/c. She did get a free ice cream sammich out of the deal, though.

Not bad for $35. ^ ^ ^

I shall check that out, thanks for the heads up. :D

In other news, thanks to photog72 sending the job fairy up here, because I got a call while waiting for the Blue Bell tour and now have a phone interview tomorrow morning. :D:D:D

+1 My weather jinx-ness was not in evidence today. Spent a day in the mountains with no rain. Awesome. The good kind.
