When you have a waitlisted segment for an upgrade and you clear, does CO send you an email or do you just have to keep checking the res?

The Crescent Hotel - just great with an amzing setting, but don't let anybody see Stanley Korshak next door, serious shopping damage happens there.

Bob's was sounding really great based on what I read. I was also looking at Palm and Morton's because I've never been to either, but Bob's may win the day.

I booked the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani in Honolulu for $99 as a "just in case" hotel for March.

have you stayed there before? I always wondered how they are with such low rates, not that I'm expecting much.

Dunno, but if possible try to find a few minutes to use the loo at the bar atop the Peninsula. It is worth it.

Hong Kong side. Less than a 5min walk from the main Star Ferry terminal.

Star Ferry = best transportation value on Earth. (Well, best value that is not life-threatening.)

People are going to start thinking we actually eat together ;)

I did leave off the Crescent's restaurant, but it really great; a nice spot for Sunday brunch. Plus1 and I spent our first Christmas dinner together there and it was magical.

No. I really just want somthing on hold just in case. I have never been to HI before and plan to pick sfogate, belynch's brain and who ever else has been there recently for tips on where to stay.

I have been looking in Kauai or Maui for a hotel, but I don't want to drop 20K *points a night :(

Death Race is on in the background, such a silly movie if it wasn't for the female co-star Natalie Martinez

I've been to a few. Most of them are awful. A couple are the genuine article and are okay.

I have been there a number of times (have family there), mostly stayed at either the Doubletree Alana which is at the far west end of the drag strip or the Hyatt which I love the location. Hilton Hawaiian Village is a massive . Stayed there once, never again.

My favorite is the Halekulani but expensive.

Do not go to the Palm if you are craving beef. Morton's cuts are better nearly across the board. Love the Palm, make no mistake, but only for certain stuff on the menu.
